It has been years, since I saw you last,
with that smile carved onto your face. You look so happy, so bright,
you were rarely this happy
while you were with me.I'm so sorry.
I'm boring, I know,
I'm quiet, I'm the dark corner of the night, butI still used to come out of my
little dark hole
to dance with you under the sunlight.Watching the stars,
dandelions behind ears, screaming in concerts, tall rides,
icecream in the nights, it defined us.We were so different, I know,
and maybe, it was beautiful.I showed you the moon, while
you showed me stars in bright daylight,I showed you my dark side,
and you tried to pull it out of me.You couldn't succeed,
but, honey, you tried so hard.So hard, that I couldn't bear it,
I couldn't bear that you'd be sad because of me.I'm so sorry that I left,
but, you look so happy,
so I feel a little lessSo happy now, with the sun lit man beside you,
who'll still show you the moonwith no attached strings, or
sad, broken stories under the stars.━━━━━━━ 🌙 ━━━━━━━
Personal Notes :-
I swear to god, if you don't like this poem 🔪
let me go cry again •́ ‿ ,•̀It's pretty obvious about how he still regrets leaving her, so I'm not gonna comment on that.
What I was really hoping to highlight here was the boy's feelings towards their relationship.
He mentioned how maybe their relationship was beautiful, how he thought she never smiled that bright while he was with her, how he's happy that she's smiling so beautifully now.
Classic signs of an overthinker and low self confidence :')
Anyways, thanks y'all, for listening.
Take care,So much love, Hacs.
