Oh! The River... Little Bear was reminded how thirsty she was.
Her tummy grumbled. Seeing the water, Little Bear was reminded how hungry she was!
She wanted her Mommy Bear! She looked left, she looked right. She looked around and around and didn't see Mommy Bear from up in the tree.
Now, she knew how to get to the river! She could fish in the river! The river was water! That would slake her thirst. Little Bear had to get out of the tree.

She looked down the tree and the wind blew. The tree trembled, scaring Little Bear. She froze. It was scary.
She heard crashing under the tree. Suddenly, she was glad she was up the tree! Looking down, there was Mommy Bear!

How to get down? Up had been easy. Little Bear looked down. Down was far, far away. Little Bear was scared.
She had to be brave. "Little Bear," Mommy Bear called, "Let's go eat. I found some nice fish."
Little Bear was excited. Her tummy growled even louder. "I'm up here, Mommy!"
