It was nearing nighttime as the stores at the town one by one closed for the night as the towns people starting going to their homes to sleep thru the nights of the unknown demons coming to kill one or some of them, Nezuko and Kanao notices some were childrens either an orphan with no place to stay at for the night or was treated like that

Kanao's once smile turned into a frown as she remembered her own past while Nezuko was sad and angry as she felt pity for those that stay with terrible people while were poor childrens who couldn't stay warm just like those who had horrible parents or such

But Nezuko couldn't do much since she bring much with her on this mission as she was the one that rarely left her home when her family was alive so it was understandable for her to finally see the horrible things people could do as she only knew the kindness of her family and people in the village that her older brother goes to when he has to sell charcoal from she heard the villagers in the town were very friendly and kind well that was what her older brother told her

Nezuko heard a faint muffled scream for help as her eyes widened then she grabbed Kanao's hand and ran towards the faint muffled screaming and crying from the one slowly getting kidnapped by a demon to then be killed

Nezuko ran and ran, afraid for whoever was the victim of the demon and soon she arrived at where she heard the faint muffled screaming crying she heard before as she saw the demon

A female demon none more than looking around the age 11-12 buy when in reality the demon could be much older than what they look like, they had black hair with with faint purple on their front hair, they wore a beautiful black and purple kimono but their eyes were filled with barely any emotion

Nezuko kinda felt pity for the demon but she was assigned to kill the demon so she will do it,Kanao just kept a frown from remembering her past that she wants to forgot forever

Nezuko grabbed the hilt of her sword and pull it out of it's sheath and then pointed the sword at the demon "Let the town people alone" Nezuko said in a low tone but loud enough for the town people,Kanao and the female demon to hear as Nezuko looked at the town people that the demon decided to kill and saw absolute fear in their eyes as they cried

Soon nezuko heard a faint and muffled "help... me..." from the town people that was unfortunate to get chosen by the demon to be killed tonight

"Hmmm" the demon hummed as they pretend to think about it while keeping the teen from escaping them "How about no?" The demon said almost sang it for no apparent reason just felt like almost singing it "Fine then then be prepared to meet death then and if you happened to meet the shinigami then tell the shinigami I said hello" Nezuko said as she soon charged at the demon with high speed which shocked the demon as they haven't meet someone that fast in their life of being a demon as most of the demon slayers they meet were weak to her

Nezuko charged and soon swing her sword as the demon tried to back away with the teen but got slash at the chest as they fell onto the ground while stilling holding tight on the teen who's still trying to escape but keeps failing

The wound on the demon's chest quickly healed as they frown that now their favorite kimono now got ruined and quickly got up with the teen who gave up on trying to escape

Something soon the demon held their hand out as they used their demon blood art which made Nezuko back up as they jumped back to Kanao's side, a black unknown substance formed a sword as they grab the hilt of the sword and lowered their hand

...

Soon the demon quickly let go of the teen but quickly knock them out with a chop to the neck as the demon threw the unconscious teen against the wall and ran towards Nezuko with a lot of hate in her eyes but Nezuko and Kanao were quick to act as Nezuko raised her sword then blocked an attack from said demon as Kanao unsheath her sword and got ready

The demon jumped back as they made another sword with their demon blood art as they ran towards Nezuko but this time Kanao slashed the demon on the chest with her sword as the demon stumbled back her eyes widened in shock as she realized she forgot about the other demon slayer there

The demon rubbed between her eyes as she groaned in annoyance since she now had to deal with two demon slayers

Kanao took a advantage of this and ran towards the demon as she swung her sword but the demon's eye quickly widened at the situation and jumped back just in time
