S2 Ch 6: HAIL HYDRA!!!

-beacon academy, infirmary-

Raven came to as she noticed that she was in an infirmary. She looked to her side to se her brother Qrow sitting on a chair asleep. She wont admit it out loud but she is thankful that he stayed and watched over her.

Glynda:*walked in* I see your awake- she said relieved

Raven: yeah-she said im a low voice as she looked down in shame. All of her men, her tribe.... Its all gone

Qrow: *slowly wakes up and sees that Raven is awake and quickly hugs her*

Yeah, Qrow may be angry at Raven for ditching him, Tai and Yang to go back to her tribe, but she is his sister and while he may have hold anger towards her. A deep part of him was worried that she was ok or not seeing the life she decided to take.

Qrow: Thank Oum your ok- he said silently while still hugging

Raven just stood there shocked at her brother's sudden action. And for some reason her body moved on its own and hugged him back as some tears fell from her eyes

Raven: Its gone, its all gone- she said silently

Qrow: What do you mean?

Raven: The tribe. Hydra came to my tribe and asked us to work for them. I denied it but it seemed they didn't like my response *tightens the hug* everyone was slaughtered and I couldn't do anything *sniff*- she couldn't take it anymore. The stress of being a tribe leader and the guilt of leaving her own child and ex husband behind catching up to her- I failed as a mother and now I failed my tribe *sniff* Im was to weak to do anything *sniff* im pathetic

Qrow was surprised to say the least. His sister Raven. A stone cold killer and tribe leader, a woman that will do anything to protect her tribe no mater how dark her methods can be. Is sitting here crying like a little kid. Whatever happened back there must have really pushed her to her limits and.... She couldn't take it anymore. But now is no time to act surprised. His sister is down in the dumps and its his job as a brother to be there for her for once in his life. He wont mess it again

Qrow:*hugs her still while rubbing her back* hey hey, its ok Rave relax. Im here *hugs tight as she was still shaking* Your bro is here. Just let it out, Im not going anywhere

At this Raven just lost it and began to cry her hart out. Being tribe leader of a bunch of bandits meant that she has to show little to no emotions or she would be seen as weak in their eyes. No matter how stressed she was, she couldn't show any sign of it. On the day Yang was born she was the happiest that she could be. But when her and Qrow's late father said that she was destined to become the leader of their tribe, she knew that this happiness wasn't going to last. So without further warning she left the house after a few days of recovering. Never said a word to her best friend Summer and ex husband or her brother. Not even a goodbye to her daughter Yang along with the sadness when she found out that Summer was dead. That guilt and sadness has haunted her to this day but she couldn't let her people see that cause she would be taken down from her role as leader and be banished from the tribe. She wanted to do that so badly so that she can go back to Tai and apologize to him for ditching him and leaving Yang with him, but if she did that then Qrow would be the next in line to becoming leader and she couldn't let that happen to her brother. So she decided to be a cold and ruthless leader. So that no one in the tribe dare to apose her. And sadly she had to keep all of her emotions bottled up inside so that no one saw her as weak. But now? With her tribe destroyed because she was to weak to save anyone. That was the last straw and she couldn't keep her emotion hidden anymore. And now the stone cold Raven was free to show her emotions once more.

-small time skip-

After a while. Raven finally calmed down and she whipped some tears off her face

Raven: Thank you.... Qrow- she said weakly
