When we finally get to the airport the security line is crazy. We get to the gate 5 minutes before boarding and we sit to catch out breath. It's finally time to board the plane and I'm getting excited.

We didn't have seats next to each other because we booked the flights so late but I got put between and old woman and a boy who looked about my age. He looked familiar but I couldn't remember from where. He must have noticed me starting and smiled. "I'm Evan. Who're you?" He asked. "I'm Iris. You can call me Iz though. I'm sorry I was staring, I jut thought you looked familiar." I said, slightly blushing. "Um, do you watch YouTube videos? I have a YouTube. Maybe that's where?" He says. "No, I don't think that's it. Have you ever been to New York?" I ask. Maybe he's from my home town? "Ya, I have! But also, I was on an American Eagle ad in Times Square. That's probably where you recognize me from. I recognize you too. You're friends with Christian. You did a set with him at SITC. And you did a video on his channel." Evan says. "Woah cool!! So that means you've heard me sing? Do I stink as much as I think I do?" I ask. "You were so good!" Evan says. He finally says he is going to watch a movie.

I turn to the lady beside me and we start talking. "I'm on my way to hike in the Swiss Alps but I have to go home and visit my family first. They're worried about me." She says with a smile. Then she asks about me. We talk for hours. About things from the weather to where I'm going. Christian comes over to see how I'm doing and sees Evan. They talk for a while and then Christian takes his seat again. The old lady turns to me and says "was that your boyfriend?" I laugh. "No, he's just a friend." I say. "He sure likes you though. I can see it." She says, smiling. "I don't think so. I don't know why he would, he has a lot of other girls to choose from." I say. Evan must have listened in on our conversation because he taps my shoulder and motions me closer. "You're beautiful and Christian would be lucky to get a girl like you. I hope you know that. But she's right." He says nodding to the old lady "he does like you. Even if you can't see it yet." I turn to the old lady and she winks.

(A/n) Fun fact! When I was on my way to Africa two summers ago I was on a plane from Denver to London. I had an old lady sitting on my right side. She was going somewhere to climb a mountain. I didn't know her name and she didn't know mine but this chapter is for that old lady. (I don't know why but I'm feeling sentimental about that old lady. I don't know man.)
