Lie detector test & the invitation

Brent POV

I walked back inside after seeing Pierson- I mean getting lunch.
Lr: Well well well. Look who's finally home.
I looked up to see my sister on the couch beside Pierson's brother.
Br: What on earth?! What are you doing here?
Lr: I live here.
I rolled my eyes.
Br: I was talking about him, you moron.
I pointed to Logan.
L: Oh, no reason.
He glared at me. He's a completely different person than the one I met the other day.
Lexi pulled out a chair for me.
Lr: Sit my dear brother.
I looked around the room skeptically. Is this a prank?
I made sure nothing was on the chair, then sat down.
Lr: Its time.
Br: Time for what?
The lie detector guy came in and hooked me up.
Br: Ha ha. Very funny. Lexi, get this off me.
Lr: Not until you answer a few questions.
I rolled my eyes.
L: Why did my sister get home so late last night?
Br: I- We lost track of time.
LDG (lie detector guy): True.
Lr: What was she doing at our house so late last night?
Br: We were hanging out. You know this.
LDG: True.
Br: Obviously.
Lr: How did you bring her home? I put your car in the garage.
Br: I called an uber.
LDG: True.
L: Where did you go for lunch today?
Br: McDonald's.
LDG: True.
L: Any specific reason?
Br: Yes.
LDG: True.
L: What was the reason?
Br: I wanted food.
LDG: That's a lie.
Lr: AHA!
L: So what's the real reason?
I didn't answer.
L: It's not because you think my sister is hot, right?
Br: Of course not.
LDG: Big lie.
Br: 😬.
L: Have you kissed my sister?
Br: No.
LDG: Lie.
Lr: We know you're lying.
L: We saw the security camera footage.
Br: Oh shoot.
L: Don't let it happen again.
L: Last question. Are you dating my sister?
Br: No.
Not yet.
LDG: True.
L: Phew.
Br: Now, Logan. I have a question for you. If you don't answer truthfully, I'm gonna hook you up to a lie detector test.
L: What is it?
Br: Where is Pierson's favorite place in the world?
L: Definitely Disneyland.
I smirked. I now have a Christmas present for Pierson.

The next day...
Pierson POV

Its 7 pm. I was about to watch a movie with my family. I went to the kitchen to pop popcorn when there was a knock at the door. My mom went to get it.
PM ( Pierson's mom- in case u didn't remember) : Pierson! I think this is for you.
I went over and met my mom at the door. I saw Brent smiling at me from the doorway. I smiled back at him.
PM: I'm gonna head back to the living room.
We both watched my mom leave.
P: So.
Br: So.
P: What are you doing here at 7 at night?
Brent looked down at his feet and smiled, making me smile with him.
Br: I have to ask you somewhere. Well- um. Can you be my date to- Nobody brings a date to a party. What am I saying?
He kept rambling on.
Br: Would you- will you- theres a Christmas party and my house tomorrow and it'll be really fun. I was wondering if-
I cut him off my pressing my lips onto his.
P: Yes, I'll go with you.
Br: Oh- I was gonna ask if your brother could come, not you.
I swatted his shoulder.
P: Definitely not. I have a question though.
Br: Ask away.
P: Why did you come here? You could've just called and asked.
Br: Any excuse to come see you.
I smiled.
P: We're watching a movie if you wanna come join us.
I pointed into the living room. Brent stuck his head inside to see both my parents and my brother looking back at him.
Br: I don't want to interrupt your family time. I'd better get going.
P: Wait-
I put a hand on his shoulder.
P: Let me walk you to your car.
I closed the front door.
Br: What a gentleman.
I laughed.
P: I just didn't want your family to see me do this.
I pulled his chin down to mine and kissed him. He put a hand on my cheek.
Br: Did they not see you kiss me like 2 minutes ago?
I shrugged and kissed him again.
Once we finally pulled off, he got in his car.
Br: So I'll see you tomorrow.
P: Yep. What time is the party?
Br: 4.
P: I'll see you there.
Br: Bye Pierson.
I smiled.
P: Bye Brent.
He drove off.
I walked back inside with the biggest grin on my face.
PM: Was that the boy you've been going out with?
P: Yes.
PD (dad): Boy? Let me meet him. I need to make sure he's not a convicted felon.
L: We hooked him up to a lie detector test yesterday.
P: You did what?! Who else?!
L: Lexi and I.
P: Lexi? As in Brent's sister?
L: Yup. We were confronting him.
PD: On what?!
L: Kissing Pierson.
P: Shut up Logan! You don't have to be jealous just because you've never kissed anyone.
L: Yes I have!
P: Like who?
L: None of your business! Point is- he kissed you! You barely know him!
P: I've known him for like a month!
L: Exactly! That's barely enough time to get to know someone.!
P: What is there to know?! He's 23, a family friendly youtuber, and a great kisser!
PM: Should your dad and I leave?
P: No! We're gonna watch a movie!
I slumped on the couch and crossed my arms.
It's none of his business what I do with Brent. I feel so bad that he put him through a lie detector test. And I'm gonna have a great time tomorrow at Brent's Christmas party. I'd bet on that.
