,yes you are far
you haven't been around, we haven't exchanged words
and I am sure you are happy elsewhere
but what I have for you hasn't changed since the moment I met you
you are my distant love
far, out of reach, worlds away
and unfortunately, someone I used to know
the memories feel like untrue dreams, to good to ever be really be ours
they're distant too
they dance around in my head all the time, everyday
but my love, I promise you, those eyes of yours are kept close, always
they bring me ease, remind me of how sweet life was
they were small glimpses into your soul, your mind, who you are, something ive always wanted to know more of
and our moments stay with me for lifetimes
they were something undescribable
and while time and distance may have hurt us, it can't falter our dreams
my distant love, I write to you knowing you'll never see these words
I write to you because this is my only way of speaking to you
I write hoping that maybe one day, my words will be to you, instead of kept to myself
I write saying all of the things I don't know how to say
or that i can't say
my love, my cherie amour, you stay with me no matter where you go
no matter if we don't speak
or don't see one another
or if we'll ever see one another again
you still stay with me, just as the day I knew I fell in love with you
I wish you all the love, happiness, and contentness
you deserve it all and more
I hope the world treats you oh so well and whomever enters your life, bring love
I miss you
- the one far in your mind
