Remy soon came back with all of the things that I had asked for. I'd given him my car key, which he had also brought back from my University car park. We had managed to book a hotel for me to stay at for a week, until he could sort out proper accommodation for me. Unfortunately due to the late notice, I couldn't move into the hotel until three day's time as everywhere else that could keep me for a week, was fully booked. Tired and ready to fall asleep, I decided to swallow my pride and stay at Joseph's for the night, and then I would spend the second and third night at Remy's dad's.

By the time Remy came back with my stuff, the sky had already darkened, which only added to my hesitation to leave Joseph's apartment. I had changed into one of the tracksuits I had asked Remy to bring me, and was now sat on one of Joseph's plush sofas, feeding Isaiah who had woken up a few hours ago, (despite his mother's distress) in good spirits. I hadn't seen Joseph since he shut me out of his room and I preferred it that way. He was too much of a headache.

As Isaiah's tiny hand, clutched over mine as he drank his milk, I watched Remy unpack some grocery shopping.

"Can you believe the only shops around this guy's house is Co-Op and Waitrose?" He spoke with his back to me as he placed a new bottle of blue-top milk into the large silver fridge. "Some any expensive places. Look at this..." He turned and held a bottle of what seemed like cloudy apple juice. "Three pounds, for this!?"

I gasped sarcastically, holding my free hand to my chest. "With all the money that you have?" His face dropped as he gave me a dull look.  "No one forced you to buy it," I added, rolling my eyes.

"But it's tasty though.." he mumbled, placing it on a free shelf in the fridge as well.

I guessed the guilt was really sinking into him as he had offered to cook me dinner tonight.

"What else did you buy?" I asked not impressed by what he had been taking out of the bags so far, such as pre-packed vegetables, dried fruits and nuts.

"Nah don't worry." he finished packing the last of the rabbit food. "Those things are for Joseph's. I got you your fav." He smirked.

He pulled out a packet of frozen chicken strips, long-grain rice, seasoning spices, sauces, frozen vegetables, prawns and eggs.

My face lit up, slightly. "Your special fried rice?" I queried peering at the groceries he had now lined up on the counter, sceptically.

Remy spread out his hands as he flashed me a large grin. "The one and only, b."

I turned away from him so he wouldn't see my smile. But Remy knew me too well.

"Look how fucking excited you are." He cheesed. "You know that shit is about to go down, baby girl."

I gave in and exposed my smile. One thing Remy could do was make banging special fried rice - and that was about it.

He wasted no more time and got to work, using Joseph's wok pan. I put Zay's now empty bottle down and carried his small body over my shoulder, rubbing his back. Remy picked up his phone and after typing a few things, music started to play in the kitchen area. I frowned and looked for the source, finding a Beats Pill on top of one of the cupboards. Trap music started to play and Remy started to rap every lyric to the song perfectly. He then started to dance as he added a cup of rice into boiling water.

Isaiah finally burped and I lifted him from my shoulder to kiss a chubby cheek. "Good boy."

I stood up and walked over to Remy who kissed Zay's head and ruffled my already messy braids. I smacked his hand away and placed Zay in his new car seat, facing him to Remy who started making faces at him making him smile. I re-tied my hair into a bun on top of my head before taking a seat on the island watching Remy cook.
