Fantasy Smackdown Round 4: Mythic Fantasy
This short story was written for Round 4 of the Wattpad Fantasy Smackdown commencing on 28 January 2013.
With a theme of Mythic Fantasy, the prompts for this are four pictures, chosen by me, the judges and a fellow contestant.
I was assigned Native American mythology for the myths to focus my story on. I chose a few modern urban myths to accompany them.
I used the following pictures:
Picture #4: White peacock
Picture #6: A seven-headed dragon, Cantrella’s standard
Picture #7: A man in a robe with wings, standing before dragons and the dawn: the President’s standard
Picture #8: An elfin girl with long blonde hair, dressed in white with cloth boots: Cyntia.
The pictures appear in the media alongside relevant chapters.
