I was silent the whole damn time as I listened to his soothing voice. My tears and sobbed—they'd stopped.
“Always remember that, Cash. There won't be success if you would never accept failures and hardships.”
I nodded in response, as if he's just in front of me.
Napapikit ako, tuluyan ng niyayakap ang kadiliman. I can't help but too overthink, there are multiple questions that keeps bugging me. Am I just fooling myself whole this time? Totoo nga bang matalino ako? O marunong lang mag-aral? O sadyang bobo lang talaga ako? I'm hopeless.

“You can't win at everything but you can try.” he's slowly singing it, like he's saying those lyrics straight into me.
“Baby, you don't have to worry. Cause there ain't no need to hurry.”
My heart beated eratically. Diko alam bakit mas lalo akong napaiyak sa boses niyang kumakalinga.
“No one ever said that there's an easy way. When they're closing all their doors. And they don't want anymore.”
“This sounds funny but I'll say it anyway. Girl, I'll stay through the bad times. Even if I had to fetch you everyday.”
“We'll get by with a smile. You can never be too happy in this life.”
“Cash, smile na hmm?”
Maybe I was too pressured that I expected something big towards my grades. I silently sobbed as I hugged my pillow. What did he do? He's a totally stranger to me but why the hell I feel comfort and secure at the same time?

And for the first time, I let my heart fall from the stranger I met in RPW.
