heaven wiped her eyes knocking on aj's door. aj opened the door frowning his brows when he noticed her slight red nose and eyes.

"what happened?"

"i'm moving" heaven whispered lowly

"say you swear to god heaven" alijah stared her down

"my daddy wants me and deja to live with our mom i don't know if i'll be here for highschool. it was a secret deal i guess if it were up to me you know i'd stay here but they just told us last night" heaven explained

alijah didn't know how to feel he was in a state of shock and hurt. a week after their kiss and heaven's birthday his other bestfriend was leaving him. bugs came outside with them noticing the awkward tension.

"what's going on?" bugs asked confused

"heaven moving"

"moving where houses?"

"no to gulfport" heaven said wiping her face

"TWO HOURS AWAY?" the boys said in unison now pissed

"hell nah where yo people at hev we not finna let this shit fly they go is fucked" bugs said

"i'm saying this that bullshit and you'on even know how long you gon be there for" aj smacked his lips

"no cap imma miss you like a fuck bro" bugs gave heaven a hug making her chuckle

"imma miss you too tionne"

alijah watched them have their moment sitting on his porch swing consumed on his thoughts. heaven sat down beside him laying her head on his shoulder huffing lowly. she hated just as much if not ten times as much as they did. she couldn't understand why her parents couldn't just get along and set aside their differences. alijah wrapped his arm around heaven kissing her cheek.

"imma miss you kid" he told her

in the truck heaven's dad honked the horn letting her know it was time to go. the three sighed going info a tight group hug soaking up the last few moments they had together before heaven left for who knows how long.

"love you guys don't get another bestie while i'm gone"

"we love you too & we won't!"

"call me when you get there" aj told her before hugging her kissing her the last time

"see you later alijah"

"ight heaven"

alijah and bugs sat at lunch observing the different people scrunching their faces up at the couple in the corner making out. aj looked down typing away on his phone. bugs squinted his eyes seeing a familiar face dropping his jaw nudging aj.

"aye say that ain't hev" bugs said making him look up

"nigga that ain't her she woulda told us if she was back in jackson" he said

"nigga that's heaven"

"nigga no it's not" aj argued

"i'm bout to call her and if that girl answer imma know something" bugs said unlocking his phone

he went to hs facetime log calling heaven seeing the girl answer her phone. aj rolled his eyes going back to his phone.

"where you at?"

"at school i'm lonely where are y'all"

"what school? you back in jackson?" bugs asked

"yeah and jefferson with y'all can y'all get me please"

"here we come" he said hanging up

the boys got up looking for heaven spotting her sitting down by the vending machines. aj mushed her head making her look up smiling.

"i missed y'all!" heaven said hugging them

"we missed you too when you get back?" aj asked

"two days ago but we was still unpacking our clothes and getting enrolled. who y'all be messing with?"

"nobody we be chilling. just me and twin but the better half back" bugs said making them laugh

"so how was it?"

"it was okay not better than home tho" heaven told them

"wassup with you?" aj asked heaven sitting on her bed eating candy

"whatcha mean?"

"who you fuck with right now?"

"nobody i been chilling by my lonesome" she shrugged

"fucking cap you mean to tell me nobody bagged yo cute ass?"

"nope" heaven said deliberately ignoring what he said

"that's finna change don't trip" he mumbled

"what about you? i know girls been jumping all on you"

"nah i been chilling all summer these girls don't interest me"

"so who does?" heaven asked smirking

"you but you been playing wit a nigga like i'm a bum or something"

"boy no i don't" heaven rolled her eyes blushing

even after heaven being gone for four long months that crush aj had never left neither did heaven's. aj was so happy his other bestfriend was back to cheer him on at games and just to see everyday he genuinely missed her. aj threw his candy wrapper away licking his lips at heaven who had drastically changed over the months. she had gained weight got a nose piercing and changed her hair color. she was already fine before but now she was finer than ever and aj knew niggas was gone be on her.

"what?" heaven blushed

"nothing girl" alijah chuckled
