aj and bugs were throwing the football to each other in the field at the park, li and her friends were sitting at the picnic table gossiping, and ty was making plays.

"bet you can't catch this" bugs said to aj

"go long!" bugs told him before stepping back and throwing the ball

aj ran to catch bumping into something falling down. getting up laughing he tossed the football back to bugs holding his hand out helping the girl up.

"ayoo my fault shordy" aj laughed

he wasn't laughing at her he was laughing at him bump into her. staring at her face aj licked his lips before chuckling walking away.

"aye my bad again watch put next time!" he said to the girl

"you didn't catch it like i said nigga!" bugs shouted

"fuck up bitch ass nigga!" aj yelled back catching the ball tossing it back

alijah and tionne were varsity football players for their middle jefferson junior high. they were the youngest players on varsity being in the seventh grade and 13 years old but the potential they had was uncanny. one thing niggas couldn't say about the two was that they were shitty football players. bugs was a quaterback and aj was a wide receiver. all they did was eat, sleep, and play football they could really make something out of themselves with this football shit and that was their dream. bugs and aj both played for alijah's little league football team although aj was the coach's son he got no speaking treatment he wasn't treated better than anyone else and often was held to a higher standard because of it.

"aye who that over there?" aj asked his bestfriend nodding over at the girl he bumped into

"who her? i don't know go ask dumbass"

aj laughed letting go off his friend. bugs didn't take it to heart that's how they played they could fist fight one minute and play 2k the next they were brothers and knew it was their way of showing love.

"uh unt lili get yo brother he not finna be tryna holla at my baby sis" one of li's friends said scrunching her face up

"mmcht deja you know aj not on that" li said leaning back on her boyfriend's chest

"okay dej i'll talk to him about it" li said rolling her eyes

"say what yo name is?" aj sat next to her on the swings

"heaven, who are y'all?"

"that's my nigga bugs and i'm aj"

"wassup" bugs nodded at heaven tossing the ball

"hey" heaven waved

and here was the start of a beautiful friendship, heaven and aj didn't know it yet but this day would definitely make them grateful for aj bumping into heaven then introducing himself.
