Chpater Thirteen: Game Day

Brooklyn's POV

It's finally the end of the day, practice is over and I can finally rest and just write my music, I've been thinking of song lyrics all day to the point where I've written some in paper to not forget them

I pull up to my house and get out, before I can head in I hear yelling from next door, I look over just as the front door slams and Mr.Gaye walks quickly to his car, he looks up at me causing me to wave but I get an evil glare back

I put my hand down as he pulls off in the opposite direction as my house, I watch him drive away fri a it before walking into the house to see my father looking down in deep thought

I go to walk upstairs but I'm stopped by his voice

"Hey buddy.....how was school" He says causing me to look at him like he has two heads, this is a look I've been giving him recently because he's been eerily nice lately

"Fine.....Umm ima be in my room for a while so I'll see you at the championship game" I say and before he can respond I run upstairs to my room and close and lock the door

I take my note pad and pencil out before writing down more lyrics, I've written so many songs over the past months and I've been loving every second of it, it reminds me of the simpler time where I didn't have football in my way and my dad on my ass 24/7

Just me and music....

I smile as I finish the second song and look at the time to see it's 6:30, I instantly jump up and throw my notepad in the ground before running to my bathroom and taking a brisk showering and getting dressed and grabbing my football bag and running down the stairs, I look to see 5 men in the living room along with Mr and Mrs. Gaye and my dad

"Oh ummm hey dad I'm heading to school for the game, see ya" I say before waving to everyone else and getting into my car and driving off

That's was weird

Time skip

I come out of the locker room suited up in my football uniform, I take a deep breath as I rub my hands together and mentally prepare for the battle that's going on, it's like routine at this point

"Feeling nervous" I hear behind me, I turn around to see Monica messing with her fingers as she walks over to me, she looks breathtaking as usual

"I guess" I say dryly, just because she looks good and I'm nervous don't mean I forgot about her ignoring me

"Look Brooklyn I'm sorry, I shouldn't have assumed you were the one who leaked the photos and I should have come to you" Monica says causing me sigh and look at her

"I forgive you, if dint do that again ok.......I missed you" I say before opening my arms for a hug, she smiles and hugs me tightly causing me to wrap my arms around her, she smells amazing too

"Well ummm, I'll be in the stands, maybe we can be friends still and you and Tiffany can double date with Archer and I" She say causing my heart to break a little, I wish I was the one dating you

"Sure that could be fun" I say with very little enthusiasm, she nods before walking out the locker room and I hear my coach call me out to the field causing me to just sigh and put my helmet on.....time for war

Time skip because I don't know football

I rush up the field with the ball in my hands and juke out some of the opposing players but get taken down at the 30 yard line

I get up and hand the football to the ref before going over to my teammates in the huddle

"Ok look we need to get up the field, we're tied and they've been on my ass all game" I say in frustration

"Yea the dyke is right, give me the football Archer because I can get through them easier" Dylan says causing me to scoff

"How about you do this for the team instead of for your ego Dylan" I say, he's been trying to get the ball for so long tonight but he's been getting Archer sacked all game

"Well I mean at least when I get to college, I won't have people remembering me as the daughter of a cheater" Dylan says causing me to go after him but Danny holds me back

"Listen you two, chill out and get your head back into the game, put all the other shit aside and let's beat these guys asses" Archer says, Dylan and I exchange looks before nodding

We get into position and I glance at the clock and see we're tied 49-49 with 30 seconds left

Archer hikes the ball and I run my route before catching the pass and running it but only making it to the 20 yard line

I get up and head to Archer as we hurry to get into the huddle again

"Throw it to Dylan, he's not covered as much as I am" I say catching him off guard

"You sure" he says, I nod and head to where I have to line up, I get into position and look at the tie, and see there's 10 seconds left, Archer and I glance to each other before looking ahead

He hikes the ball and I run my route as he pump fakes and throws the ball to Dylan who is in the end zone, as if time stood still, I watch as the ball spirals through the air till it reaches Dylan and he catches it perfectly as the timer runs out

We all cheer as he falls to the ground and gets the touchdown, my teammates and I run over to him and we all celebrate as the confetti fans down on us

We shake hands with he other team as we raise up the championship trophy, i smile as I see everyone in the stands celebrating, I look in the stands to look for my dad but I don't see him causing me to frown but I see Danny run up to me causing me to hug him tightly as we celebrate together and yell

"Champions" we yell together

We did it

A/n Well then, they won and it was lit but yea not much to say
