~Time skip~
"I'll show you some more tomorrow, okay?" Ham tells scotty as you guys walk home
"okay." Scotty agrees
"you did good."
"Bye." You and Scotty say in unison
"See. You later, ham. 8:00 tomorrow" Benny says
"8:00, benny?"
"Yeah. See you later , smalls and y/n"
"Bye benny." You wave
"Bye. See you tomorrow." Then realisation hits Scott that he still has Benny's glove. "Benny. Wait, your glove."
"Keep it, man."
"Thanks!" Scotty says and runs to the house
"Oh yeah. Hey, smalls." Benny calls out and smalls walks over "um, bring a t-shirt and jeans tomorrow, okay?"
"Oh."
"Oh, yeah. Um, you guys got a fireplace?"
"Yeah." You say
"Yeah why?" Scotty says
"Those that hat in there, man."
"Oh, yeah. You know, it was the only one I had."
"Not anymore. Wear my old hat. 8:00 tomorrow morning."
"Thanks, Benny. Great. 8:00."
"Mom! Guess what!" Smalls runs inside as you follow along.
~The Next Day~
"Hamilton "the babe" Porter. "Long ball" Porter. Come on DeNunez." Ham says and tries to pose exactly like babe Ruth as you all laugh
"Yeah, okay. Yes, I see it. Yes." Benny says and Kenny pitches the ball and ham swings and misses "whoa!" Benny taunts as you all start laughing again.
"You call that pitching?" Ham says as You're all still laughing at him "this is baseball, not tennis."
"Give him a tennis Racket."
"Give me something to hit."
"Alright, Ham. This is my heater. I dare you to hit it." Kenny says
"You'll be sorry."
"Give that boy a bigger bat." Squints taunts
"You want the heater I'll give it to you."
"Give him a basketball. Maybe then he'll hit it." Squints continues to taunt Ham. Kenny pitches and Ham hits the ball over the gate and glass shatters and the boys start to complain
"Yeah! That's how you do it, smalls."
"Ham, you idiot. Now we can't play no more." Benny says and the boys keep complaining and throwing their gloves at Ham as he steps on the bases leaving you and small confused.
"Wait a sec. I'll get it."
"I've got it." You and smalls say in unison of course you both said two different things though as you both go towards the gate
"No!" Squints yells
"No!" All the boys say as they run towards you and smalls as you both were almost over the hat well scotty a little bit you were so close
"Hey, Guys, we'll get it!" Smalls says as they all call both of your names leaving you two looking at each other in confusion
"What are you doing?" You say
"Guys what are you-" smalls is cut off as yeah-yeah grabs your waist and gets you off the gate as Benny gets smalls
"Get off!" You and Scotty say in unison
"Guys, we gotta get the ball! Get off of me! Now!" Smalls yells As the boys tell you both how you guys could've killed yourselves and that you wouldn't be able to get the ball back
"The Beast" the boys say in unison
"What is that?" Scotty asked
"Do you know how stupid that sounds?" You say
"Smalls, Y/n, listen to me. Go to that fence... real slow and be quiet." Benny says
"And if I do there will be an ordinary dog ohhhh~ sooo~ scarryyy~." You say and chuckle
"But I-I think—"
"No, no, no. No, no."
"Just go and peek through that hole."
"But I- but I saw something. What's back there?" Smalls asked
"It's okay. Just go. Just go."
"Smalls don't tell me you believe them they're just tryna scare us." You say rolling your eyes as the boys tell you both to go "Alright, alright we're goin'." You say as you both go to peek through the holes and you see a paw grab the ball and Scotty runs
"Something got the ball. What was that thing?"
"I still think it's just a dog. You guys are just to chicken to go back there and see." You say going back over
"Camp out." They say in unison
