(U/N) POV
My eyes were fixed on Liz, she still lied motionless. I waited for what seemed like hours until I finally saw that she started to raise.
Heathcliff was already walking out of the arena. I could see Asuna's blank expression from where I sat at the other side of the arena.
I look at my UI and see that my arms won't reappear on me for another 5 minutes. I watch Liz look around until she found where I was sitting..
She started running toward me. Once she reaches me, she falls on me and snuggled up. She held on to me tight, her whole body was trembling.
"Scared eh," I say teasingly.
"You were launched across the arena instantly, I didn't see anything," she says with fear in her eyes.
"Yeah, the backlash for missing one of my attacks...doesn't happen often, but hurts like hell when I do," I respond as we make eye contact. Her blue eyes looked so vast, yet so empty.
"I failed us," she says tearing up
"Don't cry, he was a tough opponent, I couldn't even get a scratch on him," I calm her
"Yeah," she says snuggling tighter
Seeing her like this just makes me want to wrap my arms around her, it's too bad I don't have any right now.
"As long as your safe," I tell her
"What about Kirito and Asuna," Liz says realizing that we lost.
"Well, that's their problem," I say sheepishly
"What! They trusted us to win for them!" Liz says a little mad
"Heathcliff changed the rules....Plus I don't care, all I care about is that your ok," I say with a blush looking away
"So Cute!" Everyone in the grandstand yells.
"Get a room well ya," Punisher yells over them...I can't help but laugh
"I don't have have any arms," I yell waving around my stubs
"You kinda left them behind," Qweep says
"Are you all right," Jam asks
"Still alive," I declare
"That was unexpected, I never thought that you would fail that miserably," Looky says outright
"Yeah well.....he was using cheats," I pout
This causes everyone to burst out in laughter.
"Seriously guys," I pout more
"We'll believe it when we see it," Harry says
"Yeah, ok" I reply smugly
I stand up and start walking toward Asuna and Kirito, it was weird, to say the least. I never knew losing my arms would affect walking so much.
"Sorry," I say walking past them
"It's fine, after all, the commender did beat Kirito," Asuna replies as Kirito is in a train of thought
