just the start of something new

i know how to hang out??

After i packed up my stuff I had realized that ricky and big red had left.

I had no car and I didn't wanna skate back home to do my homework

"Hey nini can I catch a ride with you? I really dont feel like skating rn and big red just left "

"Yea sure but um ej is taking me to his house
...but I'm sure he can drop you off on the way "

" oh um yea sure .I mean I just wanna head to big reds so I can just walk "

"No . I swear he'll be fine with it "

"Ok"

" ok yea let me just go grab my stuff ,and my boyfriend and we can go"

I nod and smile as nini goes and gets her stuff ...and ej

I sit at the lockers right outside the dressing room looking at my phone for about 5 minutes

"Ok let's go" I hear e.j says flicking my phone

I jump up from the floor
And walk behind the couple

We walk out the school doors into the parking lot . we approach ejs white truck ( yeehaw I'm Matt cornett)

"Nice truck cowboy " I say making nini chuckle as we get in the truck

Ej closes his door and looks at nini as to say "really"

"Ya your one to talk skate rat " ej says then making nini laugh

"Fair enough "I say

Ej starts the car and backs out of his spot then
Onto the road we go

Its practically silent all you can hear is the road under us

" umm congratulations again nini on the lead ....and ej on chad " I say trying to just stay out of the drama

"I would of gotten the lead if it wasnt for your brother ..... but um thanks anyways " ej says gripping the steering wheel harder

" yea sorry about him " I say as we pull up at big reds

I get out of the car

" thanks for the ride " I then waved and went up to the door as they drove away

" hey can I come in?" I ask peeking my head through the basement door

" yea I'm just fixing my board " I hear big red approve

I walk down his stairs and put my backpack on the stair case bulb

"Wheres ricky? " I say throwing myself on his bean bag chair

" I dropped him off at your house.why? Big red asked twisting in the last wheel

" I just wanted to talk to him but um I can just talk to him at home" I say unsure

" oh ok.. can you hand me the wd40 my wheel is stuck " big red says putting hands out in a cupping motion

I toss the can his way

Expectantly he did not catch it and it ended up on the floor

" good job troy" I say sarcastically

Big red chuckles and sprays the metal part of the wheel

After he finished we played a few video games

Then walked home from then

Back at the 'bowens'

It was around 8 pm at this point and I was about to go to bed when I remembered I wanted to talk to ricky

I walked across the hall toward his bedroom door

I knocked lightly

I heard a quite " come in" from the other side of the room

I open the door

" hey can we talk " I say walking in sitting at his desk chair

" what about...?" Ricky says unsure on how this is gonna go

" the um musical . Ok this is gunna be hard to say but Idontwantyoutobeinthemusical" I say the last part in a swiftness

" oh .... I just thought you would be cool with me being in the musical "

" I am trust me I am but your not in it for the right reasons "

" what are the *right* reasons then jules"

" THE RIGHT REASONS ARE NOT USING THE ONE THING THAT MAKES ME FEEL LIKE THIS FAMILY ISNT FALLING APART TO GET BACK WITH NINI" I let out my anger at once I felt tears welling in my eyes

" get out " ricky says staring at his blank tv

" fine " I walk out and go back into my room grabbing my speaker and phone

I blast my music trying to bolth drown out any noise coming from ricky and from my head

Me and my brother rarely fight but when we do it cuts deep

After school most ppl in drama went home besides me and ashlyn since me and her have robotics club

"hey ash" I walk over to her "you wanna walk to robotics together?" I ask her grabbing my backpack over my shoulder

" yea of course , and then after that we can walk to our first rehearsal togather" ashlyn said walking down the hall with me

" I cant wait to play Kelsey .ik that everyone sees her as a let down part but atleast this time I'm not playing the front end of a cow" I say giggling

"Yea and hey why does it matter what everyone says about your part bc you're gunna make it awesome " ashlyn was very much the type of no judge person and always made me feel good about myself

We opened the robotics lab door and smell the sweet sweet smell of welded mettle

" good evening girls" I hear mr. mazzara say from the back of the room helping another student do somthing

" hey mr mazzara I have a quick question " I state while putting my bag down

" yes.and what may that question be? "

" I just wanna ask if I could use the welder today for a mini side project "

"Fine. But be careful and use gloves "

" ok thanks " I didnt want him to know what it was just bc of the plane fact that it was for drama

" hey ash you wanna help me " I ask

" I mean sure why not "

After we finish our project me and ash start walking over to the bomb shelter
