Dmitri (POV)

"Mom?? Mom!!" desperately I reached over to the phone and put it to my ear. Never have I hated the ended call beeping on a phone before. Never have I wanted something so much, aside from Lucy... There was no hope for her though; I had to give up but for mom. We had a chance, she is still alive!

"Please...." I begged and heard Gold begin to cry into your shoulder. The depression in the room came back heavier than ever. Jason finished washing the dishes and took his seat. Chewing on his pancakes, he offered you a piece which you refused.

You stood, setting Gold on the counter next to you and leaned back on the fridge. Your hand covered your face and when you pulled them away you had a stern smile. "Don't be so sad everyone. Misty, mom is okay. That’s a relief she is alive and will be back with us. No matter what." using your more gentle tone you sighed and gulped down a cup of water.

"But dad... that guy he said-" Jason began but was cut off.

"I don't care what he said. She is my wife. Your mother and you know what I say? She is coming home whether she likes it or not."

"Oh I know!”Gold jumped up and ran into the living room. Seconds later there was a loud crash. She came skipping into the room smiling brighter than ever. Confused as ever I cautiously asked, "Gold... what was that sound?"

"I broke the TV!!!!” She giggled and hopped slightly clapping. Was it me or did it seem like mom missing was causing some of us to go crazy. Either I am hearing wrong or Gold is happy she will never watch ICarly again.

"Gold!” Jason yelled surprised and ran into the living room. He returned with a look of even more depression. No more Jersey Shore for him to watch. "Are you trying to sadden our lives even more?"

Gold instantly looked guilty realizing she did something wrong and ran over to me. Tugging on my hand she looked up at me hoping I wouldn't be mad. You obviously were. That was a pricey TV. "A-all I wanted to do was bring mommy back! If there is a mess she tells me she will know and come clean it. Especially if it’s broken glass. She told me not to touch it that she will appear. I-I..."

Everyone's features softened in understanding, and nobody was angry at Gold for breaking the TV. I understood her perfectly and pulled her into a hug. I had taken off my promise ring given to me from Lucy. I swore I would never take mine off as long as I loved her. I remember her warning me that if I took it off, she would hunt me down and force it back on my finger. I wear it around my neck on a chain now, I didn't take it off but technically I did take it off my finger. I was just still praying she would come hunt me down.

You sighed and looked directly at Gold who avoided looking you in the eyes. "You still shouldn't break things that cost a lot of money Gold."

"I don't care as long as it brought mommy back!” Gold argued back and crossed her arms. Were we all stubborn? Even at her age, Gold she is arguing impressively. Her statement won the argument and you let it go.

I picked up the phone and began to call the police. Jason grabbed the phone from my hands and held it close. Warningly he whispered, looking around, "Are you nuts! Remember if we talk about the incident we will all be dead! I can't lose my brother too idiot!!" I sighed in defeat.

At that moment again the phone rang. "Hello?" I answered.

"Hello? Is your father there? It's Mrs. Lovely. Your neighbor and a friend of Misty's." her voice was trembling as if she knew she was making a terrible mistake but as well she sounded as if she would cry at the mention of mom.

"Umm... sure.” I sighed and handed you the phone. You talked to her in a separate room while the rest of us sat in silence. The door bell rang and I opened it to a nervous Mrs. Lovely. She looked around, paranoid, and ran into the room. Taking a seat on the living room she questioningly looked at the broken TV.

"Bring mom back method 1." you said trying to follow it with a laugh but nobody wanted to laugh. Serious again you took a seat in front of ms lovely, while I sat next to her. Jason leaned against the doorframe to the kitchen and Gold hugged Ms Lovely. She hugged Gold back but I could see her hands trembling. "Hey, relax. We will get Misty back Sidney.”

She looked side to side and began to pull something from a bag. "I-I know." She took a deep breath in and let it out slowly. The tension in the air thickened. I looked behind us through the window to the outside. It was a sunny day, and the typical happy Monday. Tuning out of the conversation I decided to let the cars distract me. Cars of every colour drove by. A red car,  black van, silver car, blue van, black van, yellow car, black van, oranges car.

"I know where Misty is."  Mrs. Lovely stated causing me to snap out of my peaceful world of just cars.

"What! Really!?" Jason, Gold and I all said at the same time. She seemed to tremble even more as she spoke.

"Yes really. Your mother is-" that's when I saw the red dot on the back of her head.

You jumped to your feet suddenly and screamed "DUCK!”  A loud gun shot followed by the sound of breaking glass and screams filled the room. Covering my head in my hands I opened my eyes slowly. Something was on top of me, and was pretty heavy. I pushed it back when I sat up and watched it, with my mouth open, as the body slumped over blood pouring from her head. Gold opened her eyes and stared directing at the bullet hole. She screamed in terror as I grabbed her and hugged her tight running towards you and away from the body.  You grabbed her purse, and ushered us out to the car. The paper she had put inside earlier held one address.

863 Servile rd, an abandoned warehouse in the middle of downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Mom... we are coming.
