Drowning

Can't you see me?
I'm right here in front of you
I'm drowning
Drowning in the seas
Seas of humanity
Do you know what that's like?
Do you know what it looks like down here?
It's filthy, it's cold, it's deep, and it's dark
There's a bitter yet sour taste in my mouth
It looks calm and peaceful
60 shades of blue
On the outside.....
But down here
It's filthy and it's cold
It's deep and it's dark
It's hopeless and it's depressing
And it's filling up my lungs
I can't see
I can't breath
I can't move towards the light
Because there is none.
Because it's deep and it's dark
Pitch black like my heart
I feel my life begin to fade
Yet you all stay the same
I'm right in front of you
Fighting for my life
And you don't see it
Oh no you don't see it
I do all I can to cry for help
But I choke on my tears
My hands shake around the silver pen
That only writes in red
I'm nothing more than a ghost
For a the good it does me
Sometimes eternal rest feel like the best
But then I know it's just a test
So I continue the fight only to find
That no one cares to see me
No one cares to hear me
No one cares to help me
Because why help
Why hear
Why see
A drowning lost cause?
