Im in Love With my Best Friend

Chapter 2- The Start of it all(*)

Have you ever had that moment when you see a person for the first time and you already know they're going to be a part of your life one way or another? Well that is what is happening to me right now. He's the first person I saw and he was walking my way. I was nervous but I didn't really know why I was feeling that way. I was focused on his beautiful hazel eyes and his light brown hair when suddenly I was snapped out of thoughts...

"Hey Beth we missed you!!!" I heard what sounded like my two best friends Brooke and Lily.

I finally snapped back into reality and noticed that my two best friends were standing in front of me with a very puzzled look on their faces. "Oh hey guys I missed you guys too" I said giving both of them hugs. Although I tried to play it off they both notice that I had been in deep thoughts and looking at something. And sadly since they had known me for to long they knew what it was about.

"So who is it this time?" Brooke said with a very sarcastic tone.

"What are you talking about?” I said still trying to make it look as if they were imagining what they had seen. But by the look on their faces they seemed like they weren't going to give u anytime soon so I finally gave in. "fine you see that guy over there" I said to the pointing at him.

"Yeah....." they said together

"Well I had one of those feelings" when I said that they immediately understood what I meant. I knew that this "feeling" of mine meant something because it’s the same feeling I got when I first saw Brooke and Lily. But something about it was a little different and I couldn’t exactly tell what it was. I didn't pay much attention to that anymore because soon enough the bell rang which meant we each had to go our separate ways. Sadly I didn't have any classes with them so I had to go alone. Hopefully I recognized some people. We said our good byes and then I attempted to find my class although I did have my brother I kind of lost him somewhere between when I was day dreaming and when my friends got there. I found the class a lot faster than I thought but just as I was about to go in I bumped into someone.

"Sorry" I heard someone say “I wasn’t paying attention"

I looked up only to see a very cute boy with a very apologetic look on his face. I zoned out for a little just looking into his beautiful green eyes and his "perfect" features. Until I realized I had to say something in order for him to not think I’m weird... "Oh it’s okay" was all I said and then I kept walking into the classroom and to my surprise he followed me.

"My name is Josh" he said with a visible smile on his face "what’s your name?"

"Oh my name is Bethany" I said trying hard not to make it look like I was staring at him. Just then I see someone coming through the door. He seemed familiar and then it hit me it was the guy who I had seen this morning and once again I had that feeling but I still didn't know what it meant so I just ignored it at the time. Then I remembered I was talking to Josh oh my goodness he’s probably going to think I'm ignoring him or something. So I finally snap back to reality and keep the conversation going "so what school do you come from?"

"Oh I actually just moved here a few weeks ago" He said as he continued talking about how he came from Washington and was excited to be in California he said other things to but I just couldn't help but notice his wonderful smile and gorgeous eyes. That was before I was interrupted by the bell that rang and a teacher who began to talk.

"Good Morning class my name is Mrs. Dawson and I am your Biology Teacher....." She continued talking about how she was excited for this New Year and other thing but I just couldn't help but remain focused on the wonderful creature that sat in front of me. The teacher really wanted us to get to know each other so we worked on learning everybody’s names, Soon enough I realized that mystery boy was in my class and I would have the chance to finally learn his name...

After talking to almost everybody in that class I noticed many familiar faces and also meet a few people that I had a feeling I was going to get along with very well. When I was finally approaching him I had a sudden feeling of nervousness going throughout my entire body. I wasn't sure of what to say so I just decided not to think about it so much about what to say and to just let the conversation flow freely. “Hi my name is Bethany... and you are?" I asked with a pretty big smile on my face. I just looked his in the eyes and he also had a pretty big smile on his face.

"My name is Kian" he said still smiling. Since the point of this was to get to know each other better we had to ask each other questions. With this I found out that we had many things in common. We both loved swimming and loved music and hated the same classes. From that moment on I knew that we were going to be really close. He also seemed to have that feeling because we exchanged numbers and found out that we had every single class together. That moment I thought everything was fine and going good but nothing was going to prepare me for what was going to happen.

* After School

My day went pretty well after all I made new friends and I got to see some of my friends from my old school. I was at my locker "organizing" and waiting for Derek to come so that we could walk home together. I saw him walking down the hall in my direction so I closed it only to find a very good looking figure standing there.

"Oh Hey" I said blushing and trying really hard not to show it. "Sorry that our conversation got cut off this morning” I said attempting to change the subject and not make it more awkward than it already was. Well for me at least.

"Oh that's okay it wasn't your fault" Josh said " so I was wondering if you would show me around you know the malls and stuff like that because I haven't really been out much since I got here" Was he asking me out on a date? Or was he just trying to hang out? I really don't know what was going through my head at that time but I wasn't really sure what to say and soon enough Derek got there and said it was time to go so I had to make a decision and I had to make it quick.

"Ummm yeah sure anytime" I said” well I have to go now or else my brothers going to kill me... see you tomorrow?"

"Umm yeah Bye" was the last thing he said

And sure enough that was the start of it all.
