Chapter 51: Awkward Silence

Lizzie’s P.O.V

“God you sc-....Niall?’ I said.

Niall stood there there in his pj’s at the door of the kitchen.

“What are you doing here?” i said.

“What are you doing here?” he said.

“I asked you first” i said.

He sighed.

“I came to get a late snack” he said.

He nodded for my turn to speak.

“Had a ba- Uh i couldn’t sleep” I said.

He narrowed his eyes at me.

“Alright then” He said.

Awkward silence. “

Want to join me?” I said.

“Sure. Thanks” he said.

I nodded.

He poured himself some milk and sat across from me.

“So...where’d you meet Nancy” i said.

“Oh uh i met her at the park” he said.

I nodded.

“She seems great” i said.

“Yeah” he said eating his oreo.

I looked down at his wrist.

He didn’t have the bracelet on anymore.

I blinked the tears away.

“So....you and Harry” he started.

“Yeah” i said.

“I'm-happy for you two” he said.

He looked like he was about to cry.

“Thanks” i said.

He nodded and drank some milk.

Silence.

“Look Niall. I don’t want us to act like total strangers anymore. Its awkward and weird. Can we at least be friends” I said.

He smiled and nodded.

We both stood up.

I put the oreos away and I put my cup in the sink.

“I’ll walk you to your room” he said.

I nodded.

We walked up to my room.

“Well...uh...good night Liz” Niall said.

He hugged me.

It lasted a bit longer but I didn’t mind.

I love being in his arms.

I feel so warm and safe in his arms.

We broke the hug.

“Night Niall” I whispered.

Niall’s P.O.V

“Well...uh...goodnight Liz” I said.

We hugged but I held on just a bit longer.

I missed her being in my arms.

I missed our conversations that would last all night long.

I miss the kisses and hugs.

I miss Liz.

I miss my Liz.

We broke the hug.

“Night Niall” she whispered.

She went into her room and closed her door.

“Night Liz” i whispered.

I headed back to room.

I went into my bed and stared at the ceiling.

I wish I could have Liz back.

I miss her.

I miss seeing her so happy and bubbly.

But now she is all sad and quiet.

But now that Harry and her have gotten together she seems happy again.

But something is still bothering her.

I can tell.

She bites her lip whenever Nancy and I are in the same room as her.

I need to find out what she is hiding.

And if you are wondering why I don’t have the “Forever & Always” braclet on its around my ankle.

I don’t think Liz still loves me but I still do.

So I put it around my ankle so she won’t see it.

You have no idea how much I miss her.

I really love her.

I would do anything to get her back.

Anything.
