Mystery Man from Undertale By Toby^^^

After about 3 minutes, Sans realised that's he has already seen all the places in the monster area that the surface has to offer. He thought about the deal he made with Frisk. No resetting unless "something bad happens". For all he knows "something bad" could happen this very day. He shrugged this thought off, and headed to his secret lab to start work.

Sans POV:

I need to bring him back. I thought. Now I have as much time as I want, I can actually work on the project I have wanted to work on for years. I opened up my word document that had all my current findings on The Void and got to work.
"uhh, where do I start?" I said out loud. I looked at the machine that was covered up.
"oh right, this thing." I said. I needed to get all the parts and repair the Void retriever as I... no HE called it.
Time to stop being lazy and start work again. I thought.

"...Who's W.D ??????"
"what the fuck kid!" I shouted in anger, throwing my wrench at them in shock. "why are you here? get out!" I shouted once again. How do they know about this place? The door was locked so how did they open it.
"Not until you tell me what this place is. And who this persons name is, because ?????? is certainly not a name. Oh, and who this person even is to yo-" Frisk started rambling questions.

"nope, your getting no information kid, not until you at least answer MY questions." I said, knowing that even if they answered me, I wasn't gonna tell them anything important or anything people shouldn't know. I've lied all my life, so I don't care how unfair this is.
"Ok fine, ask away" Frisk said, looking up at me.

"how do you know this place?"
"I have seen if in previous resets"
"how did you get in?"
"I have a key"
"how did you get the key?"
"I found it in your room."
"how did you get in my room."
"Did you forget? You gave me the key."

"oh yeah. but did you forget how you really shouldn't be stealing people keys and then continuing to break into their property?" I shot back.
"..." They stayed silent.

I felt quite bad. Maybe I should tell them stuff. Well the bare minimum at least. I decided to tell them the basic things about ??????. He was the royal scientist, who fell into his creation, the CORE. I was thinking about telling Frisk that he found out about the resets, but not only would that be a lie, but it was a little bit more than basic.

I told ?????? about my findings.
"Sans, this is an excellent discovery. This could change everything we know. If we can get hold of this power, we can change the world as we know it!" ?????? exclaimed with glee.
"doc, we gotta take this 1 step at a time."
I said with worry, if we rush this, we could destroy time and space altogether.
"First, we have to figure out who has the power, then we need to figure out what allows them to do this. Is it magic? Is it a soul trait? Is it raw strength and will? This is like solving a giant puzzle! Hee hee hee, this is so exciting! Arent you excited Sans?" He continued, ignoring what I said.

"Sans, you realise I know most of this stuff, I found out about this story from some weird 'followers'." Frisk complained
"kid, I got work to do, I dont wanna spend time arguing when I could be doing some serious progress." I said, not wanting to lose more time. "this machine behind me ain't gonna fix it self."

"Can you answer one more question for me?" Frisk said, in a tone that suggested that they were giving up, surprisingly considering they had a soul of determination.
"depends what it is." I said, going for a safe answer.
"As a royal scientist, this W.D guy had a strong connection to dad, right?" Frisk said. I nodded as this was true.
"That's all I needed to know, bye!" Frisk said quickly, in a absurdly high pitch voice as they bolted out my lab.
"ok?" I said to myself. Whatever, time to get to wor-

*ring*

"hey bro." I said casually, answering my phone which, for once, actually was charged.
"BROTHER, ARENT YOU HUNGRY? YOU HAVENT HAD YOUR SPAGHETTI." Papyrus said through the phone. Sans had his phone well away from where his ear was meant to be and he didn't dare to put it on speaker as the entire world would be able to hear the spaghetti loving monster if he did that.

"uhh sure bro, I'll come and eat right now." Yes, he did have work, but he could spare some time for his brother.Besides, he hasn't been able to have some quality time with him due to resets, and he really wanted to talk to him and have a non-scripted conversation after so long. Even if he did this when he woke up, he was to tired to really comprehend what was going on.

Frisk POV:

"Why is Asgore knowing about a scientist so important?" Chara asked in confusion. They never liked not knowing what was happening, and confusion was the worst thing for them. "What will he know about the situation that is so inportant?"
"If Sans is so reluctant on giving answers, then dad should know stuff!" Frisk replied. "And if he doesn't know anything , then when I bring up the subject, he will ask why I'm asking, and when he does that, I will tell him that Sans is making a weird machine related to him, and when I say that, dad will ask what Sans is doing, and when that happens, Sans will be forced to tell everything to his king AND FINALLY, when that happens Asgore will tell me everything that he found out" Frisk finished with a grin, thankfully no one was around as they probably will think she was mad.

"Huh, you really thought of all of that in the span of 2 minutes." Chara said, bewildered. "Alright, to Asgore's flower shop we go!" Chara said with a childish smile, showing her childish side for a brief moment.

Things are happening! I wonder of Frisk's prediction is right... either way, thanks for reading! I also wonder who W.D ?????? is? I mean, it totally isnt obvious. Fun fact, the entire Undertale community has agreed that Mystery Man is Gast- I mean ?????? but Toby never actually confirmed it (I think) By the way, I changed the story title to just "Undertale:Secrets" cuz it sounds better. Anyway comment etc bye.
