The Game

Like the usual, maaga ako sa training namin. Wala pa ang iba at sina Jana, Deans, Juls, Theris and Kat pa lang ang nandito.

"Wala kang kasabay?" iyon ang bungad sa akin ni Kat.

"Huh? Wala. Why?"

"Nothing," she looked at the entrance pa. "I thought Travs is with you? Sabi nila Deans."

I smiled, remembering what happened yesterday. "He's dating someone else, Kat. 'Wag kang maniwala sa mga 'yan!"

"Weh?" Parang hindi pa siya naniniwala. "Bagay pa naman kayo. Sayang."

I laughed. Hinampas ko ang braso niya. She's looking at me weirdly. Kat only has one expression: a meek expression. Kaya kahit nasasayangan siya, mahinhin pa rin siyang tingnan.

Yesterday, Travs didn't disturb me for dinner. I'd like to think that the cheerleader actually got his attention, since hindi na niya ako sinundan pa after ng pagkakatabi nila sa cafeteria. My teammates actually came looking for him, pero hindi na nila ako masyadong nakulit because of Leine.

"Hi!" Monique greeted us while I'm doing my ponytail. Kat's and everyone's jaw dropped when Cole came in too, smiling and greeting us. 

"Hey," Cole waved at us. "Hinatid ko lang." He neared Monique na busy makipagtawanan kay Deans. "Gonna go now." 

"Sure. Ingat," Monique kissed his cheek. Cole chuckled and kissed her cheek before going, too.

"Grabe naman 'yon!" Tulak ni Deans sa kanya. "Ang harot! Kailan pa?"

"Two days ago," Mons blushed.

"Speed girl," Kat laughed.

"So gano'n pala ha? Kapag walang de Leon-Ravena, may Gaston-Paras?! Shifting lang?!" si Jana.

"Tama ka riyan!" Juls pointed at her and they started their mini dance. Mons joined them naman. 

I'm doing my ponytail and I'm busy watching everyone when someone held my hand. A warm, large hand held my hand. The one holding my hair. 

"Ako na," Ravena stole my hair tie and brought my hand down.

"Why are you here, Ravena?" I asked. He didn't answer so I tried to face him. He held my shoulder with his free hand to stop me. 

"Kumalma ka nga," aniya at mabilis na tinapos ang ipit ko. "Syempre dala ko pagkain mo. Kaya pupunta talaga ako rito."

"B-But you went on a date with miss cheerleader kahapon, 'di ba?"

"So?"

"Anong 'so'? Hindi mo pa ba dine-date? Mukhang type ka."
