The Game

Growing up and doing the things I want, with a steady life and a successful future waiting for me, I can't believe I'm sitting here pissed off with someone na ayaw tumigil sa paggulo ng buhay ko.

"I hate you," asik ko sa katabi ko. 

"Ano bang ginagawa ko sa'yo, de Leon?" he stopped eating his food, amused.

"Look," I leaned over the table. "Hindi ko alam anong pinagsasabi mo sa teammates ko, but I don't like you, Ravena." I whispered.

I looked straight on my teammates which is sitting on a table behind him. Tingin sila nang tingin sa table namin at ayaw pumunta rito. I've reserved this table for us this lunch break pero dahil may ibang umupo, they all got went to the other vacant table! Dito na lang kami, Yla. Makakaistorbo lang kami riyan. And that's why I ended up eating my lunch with grudge.

"Wala akong sinasabi. Kumalma ka nga. Ice cream kinakain mo pero ang pait mo tingnan," He shook his head and chuckled.

"Ah, nakakatawa?" 

Bigla namang nagbago ang expression niya. "Bakit ako matatawa? Hindi ka naman funny."

"Ha-ha. Funny mo 'no?" sarcastic kong sabi before I rolled my eyes.

"Thanks. One of my charms." Kumindat pa!

Nanahimik na ako at mabilis na tinapos ang ice cream ko para bumili ng bago. Kanina ko pa siya pinaaalis sa table na supposedly, para sa amin ng mga teammates ko! Also, pinagtitinginan din kami ng mga teammates niya. 

Padabog kong binagsak ang bagong ice cream sa table. I tried to sit on my team's table pero they've occupied it all. Pati bag, nakaupo. 

"Hindi ka ba nahihiya?" I whispered as I looked around us.

"Ba't ako mahihiya? Maganda ka naman." he casually said habang kinakain ang order niya.

"Grabe 'yon!" Monique laughed. Leine, Julianne, Deans, Ate Lys and even Theris, his sister, laughed at that too! They even cheered for him.

"Smooth!" His team commented. His team's table is just behind my back too. 

The bell rang. Finally, an inner celebration for my freedom. Babalik na kami sa training. I grabbed my bag and walked straight for the gym. 

"Baka madapa ka, oy!" Sumigaw pa siya. His team made a loud noise again. My teammates shrieked. 

Habang nasa training, inaasar pa rin nila ako but it's been toned down naman. Coach doesn't want to trigger any conflicts dahil he knows naman na I don't like the guy. Kaya si Monique naman ang inasar nila.

"Mons, friends pa rin ba kayo nung crush mo sa basketball team?" Leine asked.
