It was too much for Tsukasa. Seeing her, speaking to her, just being near her-- it was impossible.
But no, he thought. I can't make her remember! She would . . . what would she do?
During his indecision, he actually got to hold Nene.
But it made him sick that he almost slammed her against the floor. He had just been so excited!
But he had lost his chance. She had escaped with Amane and that exorcist kid. Tsukasa had smiled as she left, but was actually being torn apart inside.
Don't leave!
You can't go yet!
Please!
P-please . . . please stay with me.
I need you to stay.
I need you, Nene.
But she couldn't hear his thoughts. Of course not, that would be crazy.
But he still hoped. He still wished. He still longed.
For her.
