Dear Readers,

I don't know how to properly express to you how much it means to me that you have come on this journey with me.

In November of 2018 a friend of mine dared me to writer a story of love and romance. Can you beleive I'd only ever written fantasy before then?  I took the challenge, went home and wrote three chapters of a book with no name, but a kick-ass female main character who was much more how I myself would like to be. Ali sprang from my mind on to the page, fully formed, with an agenda, a passion and a broken heart that needed healing. Her paramour - the nameless blond pool boy - not so much.

It wasn't until March of 2019 until I got back to the book and wrote Chapter 4. The pool boy insisted we had to continue the story and from then on we were off to the races.  The story poured out of me and in late April of 2019 I hit publish on the first chapter here on Wattpad. I needed a title so plucked Ruby Red out of the second chapter as a temporary place holder. Little did I know it would spawn a collection of colour-themed books.  I created a cover - it was dreadful - see below.

I published a chapter a day for over a month.  (Hey I was new here.) A few friends joined the platform, read every day and gave me feedback. I finished posting the book in a 6 weeks. And then didn't know what to do with myself. So I discovered the Wattpad Boards. Then I entered every contest I could find. Ruby Red won it's first award in September 2019. It went on to win a few more.

I thought I was done with the story of Ali and Sam. A friend asked for more. I said there was no more to tell. I was out of ideas. They wanted to know about Sam's life in New York and my brain went to work. A new story was born. Another friend loved the way I wrote Emily and I had always toyed with a modern day version of Jane Austen's Persuasion so I wrote one.

I can't tell you when I'll stop now. I have so many more ideas. The other day I was cooking dinner and Ryan from The Diamond Club started talking to me. He has to get in line behind Leif, Charlie, Max and even Phillip Montgomery.  I can tell you although the story of Ali and Sam as full books is over (probably) they will make appearances in other books.

Although I am a writer, I am at a loss for words to show my appreciation. So I hope these final words will suffice.

Thank you.
