Lonely Love...
Maxine had never really thought someone would think of them romantically, no big deal, they didn't mind....
Then...well, Severus thinks of them like they built the world for him, he thinks so highly of them and it's just...impossible to comprehend.
So they ran from the feelings, avoiding Severus at any possible outcome. "Can you two just kiss already?" Thorn insisted, teasing Maxine more by pretending to make out with his skateboard in an 'accurate' depiction of what they should do.
"Thorn! Not the help I wanted!" Maxine insisted, grabbing a pillow and tossing it at Thorn.
"Well you should've gone to Robin or Lily or Vera- hell, even Remus would've done better then me!"
"But I trust you!" Maxine leaned her head on Thorns shoulder.
Thorn sighed, putting his skateboard down and wrapped an arm around their shoulder, "Okay, well, Severus is gonna love you till he dies, and you like him back so..,maybe sit down and talk to him?"
Maxine sighed, "This is scary,"
"No shit, why do you think me and Regs haven't talked about feelings and stuff?" Maxine laughed at that, thanking Thorn and heading out.
Severus was leaning against a tree outside, flicking his wand and sending dragon shaped sparks flying over his head. "Severus!" Maxine called out, Severus mumbled something, the dragons dramatically crossing their flaming wings over rheir heart and falling, extingushing.
"Max," He hummed softly, "Can I help you?"
They took a seat beside him, scooting close, "...Why'd you make the dragons stop? They were cute,"
Severus smiled, flicking his wand again, sending more sparks in dragons shapes, one dragon flew over to a flower, attempting to pick it and instead burning it.
Maxine laughed softly, leaning their head on Severus' shoulder, Severus stiffined, blinking as he looked down at Maxine.
The tiny flaming dragons made chorus' of 'oooo,' and Severus angrily flicked his wand, larger flickering dragons eating the tiny ones.
Maxine laughed joyously, maybe they shouldn't have been running after all.
