Break me
I'm begging you to drop me
Shatter me
And don't pick up the pieces
Instead, leave me on the ground and step on my remains, turn me into dust
Don't look at me in hopelessness
Instead, swipe me away and pour detergent
Disinfect yourself from all of my being
forgiveness is too pure
For the dirt i have become

I am filth
I am not deserving of you
Of your innocence
Of your love
Poetry was dead the day I grabbed a pen
I infected you and everyone around me with ugliness that's blinding
So, let me break
The way I broke you
Let me shatter
The way I was meant to
Let all my shine fade
And let my soul decay

This is not a poem
For the poet is dead
For the poem is hollow
For poetry is meant to have beauty that could never be found
