My Heart

Be brave my heart,

Ignorance is your refuge,

They who do not know,

Can not break you,

With their haughty rejection.

Be still my heart,

Agitation will only give you away,

They who do not know,

May notice the nervous gaze,

That catches them in sidelong glances.

Be strong my heart,

Jealousy will be a shackle,

They who do not know,

Will tremble at the thought,

of the anonymity of your wrath.

Be patient my heart,

Time will set you free,

For the once who has yet to come,

Will love you dearly,

and with all of their heart.
