I watch as you walk by

Sunlight in your eyes

And you don't see me

But where my body lies

And as I'm lowered

Deeper even still

I know you love me

And you always will

All the stones

Set in a straight line

Most to throw

And most of them mine

Only one diamond

And you wear it now

Our tears ricochet

We've broken our vow

I still whisper

Every damn night

And I still scream

When you won't fight

Mighty battleships sink

And the waves are winning

And stolen lullabies

Are just the beginning

You were the hero

And I was the fire

Now you are ashes

Burnt at the pyre

Curse my name

As you die with me

Years wasted

But finally free
