It was the eve of my very own wedding and I was so so nervous. I was holding my stomach as I tried on my dress for my mum and Karlie in one of the bedrooms of our guest house, we were all a little tipsy and the house had been full of laughter and cheer all evening,

"Oh Jodie..." My mum wept as Karlie took a photo from the back,

"How do I look?" I shyly and nervously spoke as I turned around to them, they both wiped a little tear away and cuddled me,

"I can't believe my baby girl finally found her happiness" my mum stroked my cheek,
"Jodie Rose I am so, so proud of you, you're so beautiful, he's a very lucky man"

"Stop you're gonna make me cry" I wafted my face and blew out,

"Hey I need to say my piece yet..." Karlie spoke, we all had a giggle,
"Jodie I knew you'd look beautiful but this dress is just sooo perfect, I can't believe that you're getting married, I absolutely can't" she hugged me again,

"Me neither" I turned back around to look at my reflection in the mirror, stroking down the sides of the most beautiful wedding gown I'd ever laid eyes on, from the minute I saw it I knew that it was for me, for this moment, a beautiful dress especially designed for me by none other than my favourite label Chanel,
"Alright, let's get this off before I spill wine over it" I spoke with much hesitation.

I was sharing an armchair with my dad as we all sat around in the lounge with music playing, we was playing drinking games and all sorts but I was going easy, the last thing I wanted was a raging hangover on my wedding day, I was going to get wasted tomorrow night so it was of no loss to me.
Just as I poured myself my final glass of Moët for the night my phone began to vibrate in my pocket, it was a text message, I smiled straight away as I saw Marshall's name,

I frowned and replied to him that I had all the minutes in the world for him, he quickly responded,

come to the pool

Once we'd cleared up that it was the outside pool I was meeting him at I took my glass with me and went out the back of the guest house which lead straight out to the courtyard and to the pool, it was all dark apart from the lit pool and the soft spotlight garden lighting, I could see Marshall stood by the pool with his hands in his pockets, he smiled as i strutted along the paving in my heels, taking a sip of my drink on approach,

"Hey you" I smiled and gave him a kiss, he remained quiet and just smiled at me,
"Are you okay?"

"Yea, yea I'm good, real good. I just wanted to see you before I go to bed"

"It's like.. 8:30?"

"Yea I know but the girls are here and I want a good nights sleep so"

"Oh... how's everything going on in there?"

"Fuckin' great" he grinned and nodded, "Bizzy's passed out"

"Ah just like the good old days" we both softly chuckled, but then Marshall's mood significantly changed as he pointed his nose into the air trying to fight back some deep emotion that was rising,
"Hey... hey baby are you okay?" I rubbed his shoulder as he turned in to hold me tightly,

"Man Proof should be here for this" he pulled away from me and huffed,

"Come here" I pulled him over so that we could sit on the pool wall,
"He is here, around you, above you, beside you and... in here too" I stroked over his heart, he just let his head hang as he stared at the floor,
