Athanasia remained kneeling suppressing her bursting emotions; sadness, disbelief,anger, regret....

Just when she thought her emotions were stable enough,she lifted her head only to meet with Jennette's smirk and her provocative eyes.

This!!this white lotus b*tch!!! She planned this!! She,she....

With that all her emotions were let loose.

She dashed towards Jennette with intense rage,only to be stopped by her father- oh no! The EMPEROR.

" You! How dare you attack her in front of this emperor! I was right! I shall end you now."

With that he unsheathed his sword ready to separate her head from her body.

Athanasia closed her eyes. She couldn't help but give a desperate call for help,to him.

Even though she knew he wasn't here,but still...

And he appeared!

"Athanasia!!"

Claude's sword hit right onto his heart. And he hit the wall.

Athanasia gasped. No!!! Lucas!!! Not him!!

Oh god! No! please! Fate can't be so cruel! He can't be so cruel! Nooooo!

She dashed towards the wall only to see Lucas dying.

" N-no...l-lucas....why? Why did you come back?!
Why did y-you take the hit?! Just why?!"

Tears rolled down her already damp cheeks.

" It's ok. It's ok athy. Even if I...cough.... die we'll meet again the next life. We're.. cough... cough!!... each other's fated we'll surely....cough... meet again."

With that he coughed even more violently.he coughed out even more blood.

Athanasia looked at him with horror. No! This way he'll end up dying!

Now that Athanasia was caught up in her own world with Lucas, Claude came forward attempting to kill her again. But just as his mana was about to touch Athanasia,A bright red light enveloped her.

Athanasia eyes widened. Not with surprise but with horror! Utter horror.

She knew what it was. It was l-lucas's mana! She was with him for way too long to know what he was doing.

She turned to him abruptly and said," No! Stop! Lucas you'll die!!"

"It's alright. I'll protect you till my last breath. I ........ove you, sia".

Actually Lucas was on his way to the World tree to replenish his mana. Even though he didn't want to leave Athy's side,he had to go since his mana was almost at its lower limit.

Just then he heard her desperate call for help. Lucas being him couldn't ever ignore it. So he rushed back without even reaching the tree.

No! No!!!!!!!!!

Athanasia knew she couldn't stop him. She watched and watched as Lucas transferred all his mana to her. And...a-and... Died.

No. He was killed.killed by him again!
She was filled with rage utter rage!!

But what could she do? Even after she got his mana, she couldn't use it. she hadn't ever practiced since she had a miniscule amout of mana herself.

But! Her vision got clearer. She could now distinguish people by mana and the strange thing was... Jennette's mana didn't resemble the emperor's a bit. Her mana was a dirty black! Gasp!
Black magic!! Even Claude's mana was a little hazy due to the black magic getting mixed in.

She now confirmed that Jennette wasn't even Claude's daughter.

With that she drowned in a complete abyss. She lost the meaning of her life. She knelt down with tears rolling down her cheeks.
