Door of Hope
By Dr Marilyn Bouniu

You feel like you are
In a lonely place
All hollowed out
In a dark space

Though the noise is loud
And the crowds are large
But nothing brings warmth
Or joy to your heart

You seek to find
A glimmer of hope
Amidst the blind
Who all grope and mope

Then you found the door
That could change your life
But your feet were stuck to the floor
And there was no way to take flight

On bended knees
You cried for help
You were set free
From chains that held

And so you took
That step of faith
And grew strong roots
In Christ your aid
