These characters represent two people in a relationship. Both are named for the emotion that drives their decisions throughout the musical.
LONESOME. wants passion. Even after everything, they know they'll never feel this way with anyone else. No dance feels as right as theirs.
GUILT. wants forgiveness. They know that they are bad for them, but they can't give them up. Even after they hurt them, they need their love.
Note: every performance, the actor playing lonesome and the actor playing guilt switch. This story is a cycle. One hurts the other and then the other hurts them back. Toxic elasticity.
