The Shattered People

The broken glass,

Surrounding you

The cracks are vivid,

Surrounding you

As little sun hits,

The shattered screen -

Becomes beautiful

As you look through

Hearing the voices,

Through the shattered glass –

You see different people,

Just like you.

But they aren't you,

As beautiful as they look,

They are scattered remains

Of the broken glass –

Pieces of your life

Thrown aimlessly

As clean as the image seems,

Nothing fits.

The faces stare back,

Their words can cut.

Reflecting your life now,

You'd change the face you see.

Motionless and distorted -

Images, and you cry

Reflecting faces –

Ripple like waves,

Orange fire balls of sun

Roam through –

The shattered glass,

Underneath your feet

Cracking still,

Millions of faces.

Once showed happiness,

Now you see straight through,

To the un-denying truth -

That you are one of the faces,

That lied to the owner

Do you feel fake?

You should, because I -

Am one of the faces

Distorted from the truth

The shattered glass,

Beautiful when broken,

As the fire balls hit,

Colour hits the walls.

The shattered glass,

Bleeding underneath

Finally, becomes

Beautiful Shattered Glass.
