04. Gone out

The group stayed in the same site just in case Karen and Harry returned Kyle waited till everyone was asleep before he got up and started to walk off looking for anything that could explain what happened to the people he came here with before thinking back on the shooting star he saw thinking they could have gone to check it out and changed his direction towards where the crash site would be but stopped as he heard a crunch from behind him he turned and slammed whoever was behind him on a tree but Kyle couldn't see who it was but had a feeling who it was

Kyle: what are you doing Yokoi: I came to follow you because I think it's a lot safer if I was near you being you're from the military and all

Even if Kyle couldn't see him he could tell Yokoi was giving him a look of annoyance at that moment he sighed and let him go walking again

Kyle: don't try anything that has a high chance of you being killed cause I don't think your wife would like that also do as I say and if I say no I mean it for now what I say is the law for you got it Yokoi: ok sure ya as long as I get to walk with you I'm good with it all

Kyle thought about what he would say at his wedding thinking he may now be able to give a good speech Yokoi placed a hand on Kyle's chest passing him something Kyle easily realised they were night vision goggles looking down Kyle could tell what was newer footsteps and what was older he also could tell that there were drag marks like someone was being pulled along the two followed it till they stopped looking at the last set of footprints they were deeper than the rest knowing that the person must have jumped

Yokoi: hey why did we stop did you find something Kyle: oh right you don't have a set of night vision goggles on I think our friends were kidnapped Yokoi: wait they were kidnapped by who Kyle: I don't know but whoever they are I am sure they are good as they didn't leave much of a track after this point but I'm sure whoever they are they have your friends Yokoi: right cause you don't know them there my friends Kyle: hey I don't even know what their lives are like so I don't consider someone I just met a friend ok Yokoi: of course so where do you think this person has gone Kyle: I don't know but I was thinking about that shooting star it crashed near here Yokoi: right the one that scared Ruby Kyle: yes

Kyle got back up to his feet ready to go but before the two could start they heard screams from the camp Kyle looked at his friend before running in the direction jumping over a few logs having to stop so Yokoi could catch up a little annoyed Kyle grabbed Yokoi's hand and dragged him along getting back to the camp they found it destroyed as Kyle took in the site unsure what did this wondering if the killer wasn't alone Yokoi was a little shocked to see this as something dripped onto his face wiping it off he looked up in horror

Yokoi: NOOOO

Kyle looked at his friend worried about what he found following his gaze to find three of his friends hung up in different ways

Yokoi: god that's sick

Yokoi fell to his knees as he hurled wishing he didn't see that Kyle followed the line that kept the bodies up trying to cut it with his knife, but it only dulled the blade looking at it Kyle resorted to trying to untie it getting cuts from it lowering the bodies as carefully as he could once they were down he looked at them to see they had been stabbed two to four times in doubles noting this Kyle thought about the weapon that could have been used completely forgetting about his friends as he did while Yokoi panicked in a ball on the ground
