Hermione

It was their day off and Draco decided to take her on their second date, she put on a pair of jeans, a white turtleneck, and her nude trench coat, putting her boots and grabbing her purse, she left her room and made her way to Draco's room

Knocking, she waited until Draco opened the door, Draco finally emerged from his room and fixed his scarf

"So what are we doing?" She asked

"We are going to pretend to me muggles for the day" Draco announced

"You?" Hermione asked "you going a whole day without magic? Who are you and what have you done with Draco Malfoy?" Hermione joked, she even tried to look over his shoulder, laughing when Draco gave her an unamused look  and closed his door

"Yes me, we're going to visit every muggle tourist place, remembering back, I have never been to muggle New York," Draco said and grabbed her hand, and led her towards the elevator

"But you've been to muggle London and three hours later you were begging me to take you back to the wizarding world because someone looked at you weirdly" Hermione reminded him

"He looked at me as if I was a piece of gum stuck on the bottom of his shoe!" Draco exclaimed, Hermione, laughed and nudged him

"Well, you did make a comment about his shoes, in the muggle world, they don't use dragonskin to make shoes," Hermione said "Dragons are myths" she added

"Well...the muggle was never supposed to have heard my comment, didn't their mother ever learn not to eavesdrop?" Draco asked

"You can let it go now, this was three years ago" Hermione laughed, intertwining their fingers

"It's so bloody cold, can I-"

"No, you can't cast a warming spell, you want to live like a muggle? Muggles don't have warming spells" Hermione said, Draco mumbled something under his breath and fixed his scarf

"Come on, let's get you some tea," Hermione said and led him to a cafe, without thinking she took out her cigarette package and was about to light one when the white stick was taken out of her mouth and thrown on the floor

"Oi!" Hermione exclaimed "That was mine! it's rude to rip things out of other people's mouths" Hermione said

"You know how deadly those things are," Draco said

"Only if you smoke it every day, I smoke it once or twice a week and normally only take three or four puffs before I extinguish it," Hermione said

"It's bloody disgusting, do you know what those things do to your lungs?" Draco asked

"I should have never given you that documentary disk" Hermione mumbled "of course I do, and just so you know, they are my lungs, I take care of them, I only smoke when I know I'll have a stressful day ahead of me," Hermione said

"Today will not be stressful," Draco said

"You are in the muggle world, going a day without magic, you, Draco Malfoy? trust me, it'll be a miracle if I don't finish this day with white hair" she said "Here we are" Hermione announced and dragged Draco into a coffee shop, walking up to the till she looked at the menu

"One earl grey medium cup with milk and one hot chocolate with extra whip cream" Hermione ordered, the barista nodded and began preparing her order, walking back to the booth where Draco was sitting and admiring a small plastic menu

"Like something?" Hermione asked

"Do they actually put lava in this cake? doesn't it burn people? do muggles actually enjoy this?..." Draco continued ranting, Hermione was giggling, she put a hand on the menu, stopping him mid-rant

"It's chocolate, it's melted chocolate," she told him

"Then why would they put 'Lava', it's misleading and false advertisement," Draco said

"You're right, it is misleading, but there is nothing you can do," Hermione said, prying the menu from his hands

The barista came with their drinks and smiled, leaving Hermione took a sip from her hot chocolate

"So what's the first thing on the agenda?" Hermione asked

"Times Square" Draco said, taking another sip from his drink, wincing when he burned his tongue slightly

"well come on then, we need to catch a car" Hermione said, putting the money on the table and leading Draco out of the cafe, they stood by the sidewalk and Hermione waved her hand, a yellow cab stopped in front of them and Draco helped Hermione into the taxi, the brunette gave the directions and the driver took off

"This taxi is trying to act like the bloody Knight bus" Draco whispered into Hermione's ear, causing her to laugh and earn a odd look by the driver

"Sorry" Hermione mumbled, elbowing Draco slightly, earning a groan from the blond

"So bloody abusive" Draco mumbled, Hermione rolled her eyes, they arrived to the popular tourist destination, getting out they stood on the sidewalk and Hermione looked at him

"Now what?" She asked

"Let's go for a walk" Draco said, they walked around Times Square, Draco bought Hermione a gift from Tiffany's even though Hermione protested she accepted it

"Let's go to the Statue of Liberty" Draco said, he called a cab and helped Hermione in

"Finally" he sighed

"What?" Hermione laughed

"My feet are bloody killing me" Draco mumbled

"We could go back to the hotel" Hermione suggested

"Nope, we're spending the day as muggles" Draco said, the cab stopped and Draco payed, helping Hermione out they walked to the toll booths buying their tickets they waited until they were allowed to board

"Can't I just-"

"No"

"B-"

Hermione pecked his lips, successfully shutting him up

"You can't apparate us to Liberty island because technically we're muggles" Hermione whispered "your bright idea" she added

"Well, I did just get a kiss from you so it is" Draco smirked, he tried to kiss her again but Hermione pulled away laughing

"Three dates Malfoy, your other bright idea" Hermione smirked

"Damn you woman" Draco mumbled and wrapped his arms around her waist, trying to kiss her to no avail

"Cheater!" Hermione laughed

"I am a Slytherin" he whispered smugly

"Oh look, the ferry is boarding" Hermione said, being able to pry herself from him and running to the dock

Draco laughed and ran after her, they enjoyed the rest of their day, even if Draco lived his whole life with magic, the one day he spent without it was his favourite day, Hermione was magical enough for him and Hermione grew up without magic, but this day was her fondest memory, because she was with someone who opened himself to new adventures just for her
