Chapter 6

"Namtan, ilang shoes dadalhin mo?"

Tessa is helping me pack my luggages today. I cannot pack last Sunday evening dahil sa pagod so I am cramming night before the shooting day.

I was notified that the shooting place is changed to Krabi. Ang sabi nung una ay sa isang villa lang dito sa Bangkok, but we will be stay-in. However, the director said that we should shoot the island scenes first.

"Ako na lang, Tessa. Thank you." she smiled and left the room.

I packed a slides, a flat ankle sandals, and an aqua shoes because I plan to stay for a couple of days, kahit na tapos na ang shooting ay magpapaiwan ako para magbakasyon saglit. My outfits are also in the luggage, tank tops, long sleeves, and bikinis. Mas marami akong dinalang sweatpants kaysa denim pants, at ilang pirasong shorts.

I doubled check everything before coming down to eat dinner. Naabutan ko si mama na nagreready ng dinner katulong si Tessa. Ang aga nila umuwi ngayon ah.

"Dad..." I kissed his cheeks bago umupo sa pwesto ko.

"Mukhang mag-eenjoy ka bukas, Sugar." sabi ni Mama habang inaabot kay Daddy ang kanin.

"Trabaho po ang ipinunta ko doon. Pero yes, siguradong mag-eenjoy ako!" I exclaimed while waving my spoon.

I already thought about what might happen tomorrow. After a tiring day of work, may dagat na papawi ng pagod mo sa gabi. That's a real definition of happiness, masaya ka sa ginagawa mong trabaho and at the same time you also have a paradise around you. Nakakaexcite!

"Sus, masaya 'yan kase andun si Tay Tawan!"

"Dad..."

I gestured him to zip his mouth. May pagkatsismosa pa naman si Mama, she will not leave me alone hanggat hindi nakukuha ang information na gusto niya.

"What about Tay Tawan, Sugar?" kunot noong tanong ni mama.

"Nothing, ma. It's just dad, shipping me with Tay." I rolled my eyes.

Dad laughed and told mama to stop asking. Of all people, he is the person who fully knew my mom. Maybe he also doesn't want to have a long night. Hindi na rin nagtanong pang muli si mama about kay Tay which is good.

After dinner, inihatid nila ako sa kwarto ko. They cannot see me go tomorrow dahil maaga silang papasok, samantalang mga nine a.m. naman ang call time namin.

"Be careful tomorrow, Sugar ha! Nako 'wag maggagala kung saan-saan ng walang kasama. You don't know the place."

Mama and daddy are very protective to me. I was admitted to an all-girls school in primary until senior high, ngayong college lang talaga ako pinakawalan because they didn't have a choice. I was also a candidate to an exchange program during high school pero hindi payag si daddy dahil masyado pa raw akong bata para malayo sa kanila.
