What has happened since the last chapter...

It had been 2 days since Meredith had been admitted to the hospital. She was getting very ancy and wanted to go home. Derek had stayed by her side throughout her stay. Kathleen came in and had a quick session with Meredith and prescribed some new anxiety meds so hopefully this would not happen again. 

After Addison made that accusation, she immediately went to the chief asking for a leave of absence, which he gave her not knowing she was trying to get out of seeing Derek after confessing she was spying on Meredith.

Addison has just arrived back and went to the chief's office.

"Hello Addison, please take a seat." Richard said

"Ok, but there is something I need to talk to you about before you lecture me." Addison said taking a seat, feeling the intense tension in the room.

"Ok, you go first then." Richard said leaning back in his chair

"Um ok, I am resigning. I have taken a job in LA with my friends Nomi and Sam at their private practice. I am leaving in 3 days, I came back to tell you and pack my things." Addison said 

"Ok, I am sorry to see you go but if you feel that is the right choice. Now, why the heck did you think Meredith Grey who has almost drowned, blown up by a bomb and attacked be on drugs?! I know she says she is fine but you're a doctor! You have done a psych rotation! Practically the whole hospital knows she is on medications to help her!" Richard said raising his voice

"I know, I wasn't thinking." Addison said quietly knowing she wouldn't have to be here longer

"Obviously not!" Richard said still with his voice raised

"Actually I was thinking, with her past, I have seen people turn to drugs to help them. I knew she was on meds but I thought maybe. I know the way I brought up my concern wasn't right." Addison said, finally deciding to speak up and defend herself

"Ok, I understand I guess. We have seen many weird patents haven't we." Richard said letting out a little laugh. "Also, sorry I yelled, you know Meredith is like a daughter to me, I just needed to get it off my chest." Richard said halfway apologizing.

"No, no I get it, I deserved it. How I brought it up was way out of line." Addison said 

"Look, I am really am glad you found what job you have been looking for, it sounds fun." Richard said

"Yeah, I am excited." Addison said

"Well, it sounds like you've got things to do so goodbye and remember, there is always a job here for you." Richard said

"Thank you Richard, for all that you have done." Addison said getting up and hugging Richard

"Goodbye Addison" Richard said as he watched her walk out of her office

In Meredith's room

Meredith woke up and saw that Derek was in bed with her. She slowly got up without waking him and went to the small hospital bathroom. In there she found some normal clothes, she took off her hospital gown and put on the big sweatshirt and sweatpants that were in the bathroom.

"Meredith you in there?" Derek said as he knocked on the door

"Yeah I am just washing my face." She said, she knew she might be able to leave today but Derek was being overprotective so she thought if she was already dressed, they would make her stay. Although she loved the hospital, she hated being a patient.

She walked out and found Derek sitting on the couch, on his phone. He looked and up and smiled, seeing that Meredith had changed.

"You know you are not leaving for another couple hours right? You could change into sky diving clothes, I still would not let you go skydiving." Derek said thinking about her logic of changing

"I know, I just thought maybe when they round on me they would let me go early." Meredith said sitting back down on her bed.

With that, Bailey, Teddy, and a couple surgical interns came into the room. The interns presented and after they finished Meredith asked if she could go home now.

"Oh Meredith, I know how much you want to go home but Kathleen sent a new therapist you could try so it would be in the hospital if you needed it." Bailey said

"No! Not happening!" Meredith said pulling  the covers over her face

"Mer.." Derek said

"Not happening! Not one more person is going to know my personal life" Meredith getting up

"Meredith where are you going! You can't just walk out of your room in the middle of rounds!" Teddy said

Meredith looked at her, and walked straight out of the room. She walked to the cafeteria because she didn't know where else to go, unaware Derek was following her. She got some chocolate pudding and sat down, Derek not far behind.

"Meredith, you don't have to like her, you want out right?" 

"Yes." Meredith said stuffing her mouth full of pudding

"Then just talk to her, you can always just go and see Kathleen" Derek said, then he lowered his voice to a whisper and said, "then you can just ghost this other therapist"

"Hahaha, fine. Whatever gets me out of here." Meredith said finishing off her pudding

Her and Derek walked back to her room and found the therapist already sitting there. She turned around and introduced herself as Dr. Wyatt.

"And with that I will leave, page me when you are done Mer." Derek said leaving the room

Meredith sat down on the hospital bed, then falling back so she was laying flat on her back. She sat there in silence, if this new therapist wasn't going to talk, there was no way she was going to. 

"So Meredith tell me about yourself?" Dr. Wyatt said 

"It's Dr.Grey, just read my chart." Meredith said, staring at the celling

"Ok Dr. Grey, tell me something that I can't read from your chart."

"No thank you. Can you just sign the papers so I can go home, I already have a therapist, I don't need another person all up in my personal life." Meredith said sitting up looking Dr.Wyatt in the eye

"I will sign the papers as long you come see me once a week." Dr.Wyatt said 

"Fine, I just want to go home." Meredith said paging Derek to her room

"All done already?" Derek said looking at Dr.Wyatt

"I didn't get any where, I agreed to just sign the papers as long as she came to see once a week." Dr. Wyatt said as she signed and left the room

"Wow, not sure I like her, you would think she would try harder." Derek said looking at Meredith

"I know right, I only had to ask once. Now lets go, she was the last signature I needed." Meredith said as she jumped out of bed and grabbed Derek's hand practically dragging him out of the room. Derek led her to his car and opened the door for her, and got in his side. Then he drove them home.
