Mia's POV

I walked into my first period which is Honors English. The bell rings as I sit down. "Hello class my name is Mr. Douglas. Welcome to Honors English. We are going to start out easy and ease our way into the harder stuff. To start off the year you are going to be reading To Kill A Mockingbird. This is a classic novel and I expect you to take this class seriously. There will be no food in this class. No talking while I'm talking and please raise your hand when you want to say something." Mr. Douglas rambled on about the standard school rules and I started reading. We have to read the first 3 chapters by Friday. Then came history, pretty boring to me. After history is over I head to the locker rooms to change for soccer training. When I get on the field I meet the coaches. There is Mr. Santos who is the 5th grade coach, Mrs. Ross the high school coach and Mrs. Evans the middle school coach. The first thing the has us do is and obstacle coarse to test our dribbling and control of the ball. Then the have us work on defence with a partner. Finally they have us work on shooting against a goalie. The goalie was the JV teams goalie. Everyone missed then it was my turn. I visualised where the goalie would likely go and I angled the ball just right. I took a deep breath and shot. I close my eyes scared to know what happened. I hear everyone gasp in amazement then I see that I made it. Everyone is shocked that a new 5th grade got the ball past the JV goalie. After soccer training they bring us all together and tell us where they want us. "So after evaluating all of you we have decided where to put you. On the middle school team with Mrs. Evans we have Lily, Katelyn, Sara, Hope, Jenna, and Addy. Now normally we don't put 5th graders on the high school level but we have a certain player we want to play on the freshman team. Mia, I am going to be your coach." Mrs. Ross says. I smile and everyone claps for me. After training I head to lunch.

During lunch I sat under a tree in the courtyard. I texted Riley to see what she was up to since I was alone.

Me: Hey rye rye what you doin
Riley: not much. Are you at lunch right now
Me: yea I'm alone
Riley: you'll make friends soon I promise
Me: yea I guess...
Riley: Mia I actually have something to tell you....
Me: what
Riley: your gonna be an aunt possibly today

I get really excited and some people around me stare for a second. I stop acting like a dork and finish my lunch. After I finish reading I decided to read more of the book for English. Then a girl with long brown hair and freckles comes up to me. "Hi I'm Addy, can I sit with you?" She asks. "Sure." I say moving over so we are both under the shade of the tree. "I'm Mia by the way." I say. "Mia aren't you the one who is playing on the freshman team?" She asks. I nod and she smiles. "Well I think your awesome." She says. "Thanks." I say. We talked a little bit more and I found out she is a triplet. Jenna and Harper are the other two. She gives me her phone number and we agree to meet up tomorrow at lunch. After lunch I head to Honors German.

"Hallo, ich heibe Mr. Johnson. I will be your German teacher this year. Let's get started shall we." Our teacher says. We start learning different adjectives and some nouns. Almost everything we did today I already knew because Mac has been teaching me a little German here and there. I love German. It's a fun language. After German we are dismissed for the day. I walk out to the pick up lot and see mom. I have an instinct to call Riley's mom my mom because we are sisters and it just feels natural. "Hey Mia. Are you ready to go meet your nieces?" Mom says. "Wait she had the babies already?" I squeal excited. Mom nods and I get in the car we head to the hospital where I will get to meet my nieces.
