Chapter 5 {The Dance}

  Authors Note: Hey guys just so you know I lot of people have been saying its hard to understand who is talking the way I do my dialogue so I'm gonna go old fashioned and just to the dialogue the normal way from now on ✌

When I woke up I had no desire to go out of my way again to look nice.yesterday was such an epic fail and I had no intention to do it again. It didnt even cross Dominic's mind that I did that for him and it might have drawn him away. Although I did get many whistles from guys I felt no attraction to.

So I went back to my old self and put on a Nirvana T-shirt and some white skinny jeans. I put on my "flawless" beanie and made my way to Roxanne's house with a muffin in my hands.

"Oooh! You brought me a muffin!" Roxanne shouted

"Its not all for you! Im very hungry too you know" I said.

"Well at least give me like half" Roxanne gestured.

I broke the muffin in half spilling dozens of crumbs on the ground.

I gave her one of the halfs and she ate it in one big bite.

"Mmmhhnnmmmhh??" Roxanne mumbled while trying to finish the muffin

"Ummi can't understand you..."

She swallowed the muffin

"I said,"

"Yesss??" I grinned

"How did it go with Dominic? Did he ask you to the dance tonight?"

I looked down at my shoes

Roxanne put her finger under my chin and lifted my face up to meet hers

"Gabriella you need to stop letting other people control your emotions"

She looked me dead in my eyes when she said this. I felt so lucky that I had a friend like her. Anytime I felt down or lonely she would always be there to comfort me. If I ever lost Roxanne I don't know what I would do with my life. And I mean that with all of my heart.

"I know"

"Now cheer up Gabs we have to go like right now before we miss the bus"

We speed walked to the bus stop and thankfully we made it just before the bus closed its doors

The day passed by pretty quickly.

And once again during Math Nathan acted as if he was flirting with me, but sadly I still know he wasn't.

I tried really really hard not to care but I couldn't help but wonder why he's acting like this.

But on a different note, tonight was the dance. All through the day I was hearing guys asking girls to go with them. But of course, I wasn't. Roxanne, Brooklyn, Violet and Alyssa all got asked to the dance by someone and Roxanne was the only one who turned the guy that asked her down. But at least she got asked to the dance.

When I got home I texted Roxy to see what she was going to wear.

Me: Whatchu gonna wear 2 the dance?
Roxy: A dress duh its a dance
Me: Well it could have been causal wear
Roxy : whatever idc im gonna wear a dress bit or won't be to fancy anyway.
Me: oh kay that's all I needed top know
Roxy: wanna see my dress?
Me: sure
