____________________________________________________

I feel naked, caught.

The truth has come out.

How hard I had tried to put it on hold,

I did my best yet, I failed.

I feel like my heart has been uncovered,

the hidden feelings now being exhibited.

I squirm silently, nervousness charging up

as I was not prepared for the disclosure.

Helplessness overpowers me,

my defenses all falling apart.

The secret world that I so guarded,

has been invaded by your heart.

You touch my hand softly...

holding my eyes with yours.

My heart pounding in my chest,

wanting to share what I must not confess.

This love is not meant to be.

This hope is all true, but false,

I retire to my shell, going away from you

breathing a hopeless "I love you..." inside.

Don't unravel my strength,

Let me slip away from you.

Don't explore my feelings anymore...

I may love you, but cannot belong to you.

Awwthentic~
