I headed home excited for our first mission and my "date" with Hinata

*I opened the door*

(M/N):Hey honey, how was school *my mom called out from the kitchen*

"It was great,I got to meet my new sensei today, I'm gonna go take a nap, I have something really important to do later"

(M/N):Sounds good hon, I'll see you later

"Ok mom"

With that I went upstairs to my bedroom and took a nap (phones aren't a thing so you can't just text like usual)

I woke up at what I assumed to be 6, so I started getting ready

I put on a black pair of jeans along with my (F/C) hoodie and headed out

I made my way to the Hyuga residence and knocked on the door

Hinata answered wearing her usual jacket and pants, but something made her seem more beautiful, maybe it was the sun shining across her face

"W-wow you look amazing *I said blushing*

Hinata:T-thank you (Y/N)-kun, you look h-handesome as w-well *she said turning away to hide her blush*

As our date finished I headed home and went to bed (nothing special happened, Hinata's feelings still increased)

*Timeskip to tomorrow morning*

I made my way to the front gate where team 8 was already waiting for me

Kurenai:About time you showed up, we were about to leave you

"Yeah yeah I get it I'm late, let's not wait up, we've already wasted too much time"

With that we took off

The whole way there was silent, no noises other than a couple of rabbits or squirrels every once in a while

Kurenai:That wasn't too difficult now was it rookies

"I expected more of a challenge"

Suddenly a kunai flew out at us from the trees

Kurenai:Alright, SQUARE FORMATION!

Before we had time to react Kiba and Shino were subdued and Kurenai was struggling, these weren't any run in the mill ninja, they were definitely stronger than us in many ways

*Screams*

Right when I turned around everything started getting blurry, I was barely able to make out the figure but I saw Hinata crying for help as the ninja started to grope her

I could feel the blood rushing through my veins as I was filled with rage and anger seeing her so desperate for help

I couldn't stand feeling so helpless laying on the ground, as I saw one of my best friends getting touched

Suddenly everything just stopped, it's as if I was able to hear everything, I could hear Hinata's heartbeat get progressively faster as she kept crying

They started to rip her clothes to shreds and started touching her again before I blacked out

Don't worry kid, I'll handle it from here

"Whose there?!!? *I asked with a weak voice*

Stop weakening yourself more and let me take over, I can help you help her

"Please just make sure she's s-safe"

While I was still laying there in that empty void, I could hear Kurenai-sensei telling me to stop and that I was scaring my teammates

I was confused as to what she meant for I was still in the empty void, with no idea of what was happening

I know you care about her kid, that's why I decided to help you, and since I have revealed myself, I will always be with you talking to you

As I opened my eyes I saw the ninjas laying on the ground lifeless, there was blood all over my hands as I fell to my knees, Hinata was sitting not far from me with tears streaming down her face

I couldn't control my body as I fell down unconscious

"W-what happened" *I said as my eyes started to open*

Kurenai:Those ninja that attacked us, you didn't have to go that far as to kill them

"What are you talking about?" *I said with a confused look*

Kurenai:After you passed out Hinata started yelling out for you to help her, next thing I know your arms were nothing but shadows as you mercilessly started to kill the ninja

"I'm very sorry sensei, all I remember is hearing a voice saying they would take over, and I was able to hear your voice, but I wasn't able to see or control my body"

Kurenai:Kid, I know you probably have no idea, but what exactly are you, those things that appeared on your arms wasn't anything that anyone can do other than you as far as I know, when I looked into your eyes after I called your name, all I saw was hate and pain

"I don't know Kurenai-sensei, like I said, I heard a voice and then everything just happened, I know that by this I will probably be taken off the team, and I don't blame anyone but myself, I can't help but think it was my fault

Kurenai:Look, I don't know what that was, but you don't seem to have an idea either, so I will let this slide since you did help your comrades in need

"Thank you, and again I am sincerely sorry Kurenai-sensei"

Don't apologize to someone weaker than you

"I'm sorry what was that?"

Kurenai:I didn't say anything?

"Oh, sorry, it must be my mind playing tricks on me"

The rest of the way back was silent
