>Adventurous - willing to take risks or to try out new methods, ideas, or experiences<

Let's call her Tita Ven.

Tita Ven is that tita that wears tribal anklets.

She loves hiking, trying out different foods, exploring different countries and their cultures.

She's one of the bravest for having tribal tattoos that went beautifully on her body.

Because she told me she felt connected with them.

She felt connected with nature.

I loved how she aced every cliff jumping.

Feeling the earth in her soles.

Feeling the wind through her hair.

And then suddenly feeling the ocean.

I wanted to try and do that.

Tita Ven brought me to adventures I never thought I'd do.

We hiked in order to go visit a waterfall.

Crossing knee deep swamps and going through tallgrass fields.

we talked in order to not feel tired at all.

But really it was tiring.

I asked her why she loves adventures.

"Because I feel one with nature." She answered.

"Actually you'll see when we get there." She added.

And then finally.

The waterfall.

It was MAJESTIC.

It was as if I'm in a different dimension.

I had to lift my jaw from the groud in order to change into my swimsuit.

She called me and we climbed some rock.

Little did I know it led to the top of the waterfall.

I looked down and my knees are weak just by looking how high the jump is.

Seeing my reaction she asked "Are you scared?"

I nodded.

She then held my hand and told me to take a deep breath.

I closed my eyes and I did.

"Do you feel it?"

Yes. Yes I do felt the hug of the wind. The calling of the water for me to jump in.

I opened my eyes and smiled.

She tells me "This is what I feel. And know this is what I am. A part of it."

She then held my hand and counted to three.

And then, we jumped.

------

My adventurous Tita turned out to be someone with cancer.

She knew she was sick.

She enjoyed and ventured to new adventures cause she knows her days are few.

She never opted for the sugery.

She chose to be one with nature.

Since then, maybe the gods felt her heart.

Her frail body and her determination to be alive.

The doctor told her she has 6 months to live.

But since then she lived 5 more years.

Completing her list of adventures.

Checking off each bucket list she made.

I looked at her in her death bed with tears in my eyes.

She smiled and told me "Don't cry my dear. One day I'll get to visit you again. Stronger and with more adventures."

My tears fell down. Seeing her look so happy even in her last few moments.

"Always remember that your heart is where I'll always be. Whenever you see the trees, you feel the wind, you hear the rustling waters and you feel one with nature. Know that I'm there."

------

And so I did.

I scattered her ashes by the waterfall, which I went to, with my niece by the way.

Now I know how she felt when she brought me there.

-----

My adventurous tita lost her life, but she was doing something that made her happy with the last bit of time left in her.

It makes me think

Am I happy?
