i remember my heart beating faster at the sight of you
the butterflies tickling my stomach
the feeling of lightheadedness when you looked at me
the way my eyes subconsciously found yours
the smile that crept its way onto my lips without permission
whenever you were near
and the feeling of my heart breaking when you turned your back on me
and left
time after time
