vibrant ceruleans
deep navies
green turquoises
azul sapphires
dark indigos
faded sky cyan
vivid teals
dusty cobalts
swirling together
shimmering seas
summertime blues
they say
the color blue
is for sadness
but i say blue
is the color of
the azure waves lapping
around us as you
held me in
your warm arms
in glowing dawns
the shards of seaglass
speckling beaches
the cyan pools
blossoming with life
the teal seas
drifting memories
the indigo nights
spent gazing at
these pearly constellations
the starlit seas
moonlit faces
the lavender-blue fog
your glowing smiles
those turquoise walls
in that small town
with the navy waves
where you said
i love you
memories tinted
shades of blue
seafoam swirling
in cobalt shallows
sapphire eyes sparkling
and i smile
on the inside
everything i see
stained bright blue
