Don't be studying on a empty stomach, eat something healthy and filling. You don't want to be distracted by your hunger.

Don't just study for hours on end, take short intervals between sessions. Some people like to do 30 minutes studying and 10 minutes break. It could be anything like that. I personally do 45 minutes studying and 5 minute breaks.

💜R E D O N O T E S
When you get home rewrite those messy notes from class. Make them neat, colourful and add sticky notes or whatever you feel. If you don't understand something google it.

For subjects that are essay based make flash cards and mind maps.
For science and maths subjects use text books, most text books have a test after a topic.
