The Neglected Salvatore

Chapter Five

*4 months later*

After Klaus and Stefan left to hunt for werewolves, Taylor traveled around avoiding the places where her grandfather and father were

She wanted to avoid seeing her father, she knew he had many questions and she didn't want to answer any of them and from what Klaus was telling her Stefan wouldn't shut up about wanting to know where she was or what she was doing

But eventually everything came to an end when her grandfather called her back to the one and only hell hole Mystic Falls stating that the rest of the family was awake and waiting to meet her

So here she was walking through the threshold of the Mikaelson mansion

"And who might you be?" A unfamiliar male voice said speeding in front of her

Before she could answer she heard her grandfather speak from the stairs

"This is Taylor, Kol" Klaus said walking over to the two moving in front of his granddaughter to give her a hug

She smiled hugging him back and looking to who she guessed was her great uncle

He smirked "Well I guess I'm your uncle then" Kol said looking her over noticing Arabella's features in her own

She smiled back "I need to go see my other uncle before I meet anyone else" mostly to Klaus who rolled his eyes but nodded understanding

Her relationship with Damon was a little bit different than with Stefan, she was closer to her uncle, he might have been obsessed with Katherine and Elena but he still cared for his niece unlike Stefan who only seemed to care for Elena instead of his own daughter

She left and Kol looked towards Klaus "Who is her other uncle?" He asked confused

Klaus sighed "Damon, Stefan Salvatore is her father" Klaus said looking at his younger brother

Kol looked at him shocked "Arabella was with that Salvatore?" making Klaus just nod in response while also walking away

*Salvatore Boarding House*

Taylor sighed as she walked inside what used to be considered her home

She knew she had to speak to Damon sooner or later and she just picked sooner to get it over with, she knew about him wanting to see her when he thought he was going to die so she believed that she owed him this at least

Stefan was the first to notice Taylor coming into the living room

He stood up and was about to speak before she cut him off

She looked at the three (Stefan, Damon, Elena) sitting in the living room watching her every move

"I'm only here to speak to Uncle Damon, then I'm leaving" Taylor said glaring at her father making him look down realizing Klaus told her everything

Damon immediately shot up and sped them out of the house

They stopped in the woods where he knew her favorite spot was, it used to be their garden when she was younger

Before words were said he brought her into a tight hug making it count like it was the last one he would ever get from her

"God I've missed you" Damon said finally making her smile

"I've missed you too Uncle Damon, I would have spoke to you sooner but I needed a little more time away" Taylor said and he nodded pushing some hair out of her face

He wanted to bring up the whole Klaus thing but he didn't want to push her but she read it in his face

She sighed "Yes Klaus is my grandfather and yes I'll be staying with him, my mother was killed by Mikael who you woke up so that prolonged my coming home even more, he was afraid of what he would do if he find out who I was along with dad having his humanity off, I don't like him when it's off so I stayed away for longer" She said getting it all out before he asked

Damon sighed "I'm sorry Taylor, if I had known he killed your mother I would have never woke him, whether it was to save Elena or not, Klaus had told me about who he was after he killed him and god am I happy he did, I don't know what I would have done if he hurt you" he said putting his hands on her cheeks giving a kiss to her forehead pulling her into another hug

She smiled tightening the hug knowing both of them needed it desperately
