It's been a little over a week since Javon posted that picture and he and Madison haven't spoken a single word to each other since then.
While Madison isn't talking to him because of that post she's also been busy. She's been looking for a Halloween costume, trying to get her grades up, and going to job interviews.
And by job interviews, I'm talking fast food places, Publix, stores in the mall, just small things
She's not doing auditions because all of the ones she's seen are for big projects coming up and she doesn't want to do a big project.
She loves acting and whatnot but she already has a movie coming out early next year and she's the main lead in that so if she's gonna act she wants to do a smaller project.
Plus no one wants to turn on the TV and see the same person in every movie or every show, it just makes you lose your TV appetite.
But anyways
While Madison out trying to get shit done Javon is stressing over why Madison hasn't been talking to him or he's hanging out with Scarlett.
Is Madison still mad about him hanging out with her? No. The day after he made that post about Scarlett was when Madison was like 'fuck it, don't care'
Maybe she's just gaslighting herself into thinking she doesn't care but as of right now, it seems to be working.
And while Madison 'stops caring' Javon continues hanging out with Scarlett and posting the 2 of them on his spam.
Although Javon wishes it was him and Madison he was posting he continues to jot text or even talk to the girl. It's gotten to the point where Jayla and Kylee don't even comment or like any of Madison's posts anymore.
Javon didn't tell them to stop they just did that on their own. Javon would never tell anyone to stop supporting Madison, that's his best friend.
Right?
Javon walks around the mall with his hand in Scarlett's as she drags him into Bath & Bodyworks.
Scarlett smiles at the boy whose eyes just wander around the store filled with a bunch of different scents.
"Come on, let's take a picture," The brunette girl says as the 2 teens stand in front of a mirror. The question was pointless because she pulled out her camera before he could even mutter a word.
Javon didn't want another picture. The 2 of them have been taking pictures all day and quite frankly, he's sick of it.
He doesn't wanna be surrounded by the camera all day, it's not his thing. Don't get him wrong, he's cool with a couple of pics, a couple are completely fine.
But Scarlett has taken a picture every hour now and it's slowly starting to annoy him.
After they take the picture they leave the store and continue to walk around the mall. "So, what are you planning on doing for Halloween ?" Scarlett asks while looking at Javon who's paying her no attention.
"Um, I don't know" Javon shrugs, causing Scarlett's brows to furrow in confusion. "Well, what do you normally do?" Scarlett asks.
"I usually go to Madison's house and hand out candy with her," Jason says with a smile on his face as he recalls last Halloween.
He and Madison unintentionally both went as Batman and it was just the funniest thing ever.
"I don't even understand how you can even hang out with her," Scarlett says and Javon just shakes his head no. "Don't start," he tells her seriously and she just holds her hands up in surrender.
"Just saying. Madison's pretty mean" Scarlett says and Javon just takes a deep breath and looks at the younger girl's comment.
"I get yall don't like each other but that doesn't mean you can talk shit about her while I'm standing right here"
Scarlett just rolls her eyes and lets out I sigh before pointing at the Nike store. "Can we go in there?" she asks softly while looking at Javon who's visually annoyed.
"Yeah, sure, fuck it," Javon says and the 2 of them walk to the store together. He's been wanting to get a new hoodie anyway.
The 2 walk into the store and eventually split up due to them both wanting 2 completely different things. While Javon wanted a hoodie, Scarlett wanted some leggings.
As the 2 search for their items, they both take a breather and dismiss the whole 'Madison' Topic altogether. They eventually stop shopping on the complete opposite side of each other and stand together.
As they leave the store with their bags there's still a lot of awkward tension.
"I wasn't trying to be...mean," Scarlett says while looking at the boy as they leave the mall. "It's all good, Scar," Javon says as they walk to his car.
"Are you sure, because-" Scarlett starts before Javok just stops and looks over at the girl. "You're good, Scar. You don't have to keep bringing her up. You're good." he assures her as he unlocks the doors to his car.
Scarlett just hums As she hops into the passenger and puts her bags on the ground. The 2 just sit in silence as Javon drives both of them not wanting to say the wrong thing.
Javon can't help but think about how it's never like this when he's with Madison. The 2 of them could pour smoothies on each other's heads and still have a great ride home.
It's not like he has any romantic feelings for Scarlett or anything like that, he just continues to notice how different their 'bond' is from his and Madison's.
He misses her but according to Jaden this is how he 'gets the girl'
