She retracted, avoiding his gaze. “I…I’m sleepy…”
Shi Sui held onto the pillow she had been cradling. The girl was drunk and powerless and, for a moment, they were frozen in place.
The two entered a silent stalemate.
Like this, they held on for ten seconds.
The girl finally sighed helplessly. “Okay, then, I will only tell you and nobody else…”
“Mhm.”
“Then you can’t tell anyone else.”
“Okay.”
The man met her eyes with an indulgent and gentle gaze.

The man covered her mouth with his hand as her soft lips pressed against his warm palm. The girl blinked her long eyelashes in surprise.
“Let me think about it first before I give you an answer.” Shi Sui said, as if he was very troubled. “Sigh, you don’t know how sought after this gege is.”
Something…Something was off.
But Xiang Yi was too tired. Her eyelids drooped as she mumbled a few indistinct words and fell into a deep sleep.
Shi Sui’s eyes were filled with conflicting emotions. His throat trembled visibly as his gaze remained on the girl’s soft lips for a few seconds. Then, he gently grazed her lip with his fingertips and immediately began to laugh.
