As-Safi Octalogy by Shukur Tebuev

Shukur Shabatovich Tebuev (May 9, 1944 / Jumadal-Ulya 17, AH 1363 - September 29, 2021 / Safar 22, AH 1443 ) - actor, poet, prose writer, screenwriter, TV presenter, director, editor, journalist. Graduated from Shota Rustaveli Theater and Film Georgia State University (1972). Actor of the Karachay troupe of the Karachay-Cherkess Drama Theater (1972-1985). Chief director, editor and journalist of the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company "Karachay-Cherkessia" (1993-2007). Member of the Unions of Journalists (1996) and Writers (2020). Honored Worker of Culture of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic (2012).
The author of As-Safi Octalogy - an epic drama with elements of lyric philosophical and didactic content in 8 parts, 40 books, 124 thousand bayts - the largest poetic work of the world by one author (336K /~920K, the materials are preparing for publication). The literary colossus of the Karachay writer has already surpassed in size the Greek Iliad-Odyssey by Homer (29K), the Indian Ramayana by Valmiki (48K), the Persian Shah-nama by Ferdowsi (120K) and the Indian Mahabharata by Vyasa (180K), yielding only to the Kyrgyz epos Manas (396-416~500K).
